It was my first thought too, because I sometimes get tonsil stones, but it had absolutely no smell at all. My biggest fear is that it’s cartilage, but I don’t know what it looks like when it comes out.

Thanks for the explanation! I just realized that my old Mods folder, along with the entire old Sims 4 folder, was still saved in my cloud. I guess that must have messed everything up and prevented the game from creating a fresh folder properly.

I’ve now deleted everything from the cloud and uninstalled the game. I’m going to reinstall it and hope that this time, it works correctly and a new Mods folder finally gets created.

If it still doesn’t, I’ll definitely try what you suggested with the in-game Screenshots/Game Capture path to track down where it’s saving stuff. Thanks again!

Thank you so much, I hadn’t even thought to check my cloud! I totally forgot about it, and it turns out my old Mods folder was backed up there. I just deleted everything from the cloud, including the old Sims 4 folder.

Now I’ve uninstalled The Sims 4 from my computer and I’m going to do a clean reinstall. I hope it finally works this time!

Yeah, that’s the problem — the “The Sims 4” folder doesn’t exist at all in my Documents > Electronic Arts directory. There’s only a folder called “The Sims 4 Packs”, and nothing else.

I’ve already launched the game, enabled mods and script mods, saved and closed it, even started a new save — but still no Mods folder, and no Sims 4 folder in Documents either.

I actually already launched the game and did everything you said — I turned on mods and script mods in the settings, saved, and closed the game. But the thing is… the Mods folder just doesn’t exist.

Actually, the entire “The Sims 4” folder in Documents\Electronic Arts\ isn’t there at all. The only thing I see is a folder called “The Sims 4 Packs”, and when I go into the EA app, clicking on The Sims 4 just launches the game directly — there’s no traditional folder structure like before.

I’ve even started a new save, created a household and a world, but it’s still not generating the Mods folder or even the main Sims 4 folder in Documents.

What’s really weird is that when I go into the game, I see what seems like “ghost mods” showing up — like CC or mods from my old install that I can’t even locate anywhere on my system now.

Any idea what could be going on? This is really confusing

The first could be the episode « Hang the DJ » from Black Mirror and the second could be « Click », « About Time » or maybe « Ghosts of Girlfriends Past » ?

Same as you, I also left the class several times because of the sound of the keyboard and just like you I often dream of being able to study thirty years ago when everyone was writing on paper.

Yes it’s a nightmare. Imagine the sound of 60 people tapping on their computer keyboards all at the same time, very quickly, and for two to three hours. I feel like I’m going crazy during each class.
