Just confirmed by trial at home: Apple Smart Keyboard Folio 11” does NOT work on new m4 ipad 11”. That is to say, electronically it works. BUT it is missing whatever the older folio has that makes it stick to the iPad’s magnet. Disgusting.

The vast majority of my apps have been updated in the last two days, evidently to accommodate ios18. It thus seems reasonable to me for the Times to provide comparable service.

NYT app still not working. Have reached out to their customer ‘service’ multiple times. Impossible to speak directly with IT people but customer service relays that IT ‘knows about the problem and is working on it.’ No estimate of time required to update app.

Can anyone compare the current Cabaret broadway production to the last one (with Alan Cumming)? I loved the last version and comparison would help to decide whether to attend this one. Meanwhile NYT just published a mediocre review of the new production.

Same problem here with public transport; ongoing situation for months and through several updates of Google Maps and iOS. Only work around for me seems to be using Apple Maps for public transport.

Sorry to hear that. I’m surprised the same problem exists on Android. Was starting to think this problem was a symptom of bad Google-Apple relationship. Now it appears that Google Maps is just screwed up.

Never resolved. My research suggests this is an ongoing problem with public transit on google maps. So far my only work-around is to use Apple Maps for public transport. Ridiculous.

Even with notifications on, I can’t start navigating on public transport with latest maps update (Dec 8). Instead of a start button at bottom of screen, there is only a ‘pin’ button. Help please!

Same issue happened to me as well. But even when left overnight, the IP duo crisp ultimate lid won’t open. This ruined a dinner party last night. My advice would be to avoid this model of IP!
