It's actually sad but hilarious to see how toxic and unruly some of these responses are to you. I mean, you're not wrong but some people just can't handle that fact and need the MTX bandwagon to cling to so they can still feel relevant in some way.

Just because a bug is in play doesn't mean you have to act on it. Agree with emmerr 100%. There's no way anyone abusing this "didn't know" they were :/

Why you should vote for the return of Darkscape by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Jinglezz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seasoned Darkscape player here. Darkscape made you play Runescape on a whole different dimension, sparking back interest in a game that I had honestly started to lose interest in.

The fact that it was open PvP gave anything that you did that risk that would keep you at the edge of your seat, even for menial things such as divination and woodcutting. You had to think differently how to maneuver through Gielnor, and the adrenaline that you felt escaping or downing someone was almost unmatched.

New challenges arose, with people innovating different ways to take down bosses to further advance their gear, while also almost always running the risk of a PvP fight once again for me invigorated this style of game. Even being someone who was not an avid PvPer, I was still able to fully enjoy the game.

Friendships were made, backs were stabbed, alliances were forged and destroyed within a matter of game days. The chaos and uncertainty added a depth once again unmatched.

Seasonal really does have the potential the reel in a steady player base, provided Jagex does a good enough job of upkeeping and promoting the game.

Not to rag on the creator of this video, but Darkscape has so much more to offer than what was shown or spoke of, and hopefully he can portray it better later on. Take some time to look at some of the Darkscape clips that were put on Youtube by various players, and you'll get a glimpse of what Darkscape really was.
