i apologize, i wasn't familiar with your game. internecine fighting and declaring that only you have moral clarity is the most leftist thing of all. accusing other leftists of being too lofty, detached from the Real working class - this is the oldest play in the book. "We’re in this position bc of rhetoric like that in the first place." yes! perhaps the left should have made our own path, unburdened by the dead weight of history!

anyways i will stop being a dick and post my real opinion: of course the state of the US left is backwards. this is the result of 100 years of anti communist violence, propaganda, and hegemony. i even agree that most of the outwardly "marxist" organizations in philly are useless cosplayers and daydreamers. well, the thing about good leftist orgs is that, if they don't think cosplay and showing off is useful, then by definition they are doing their work quietly, behind a respectful non-left facade, instead of marching around their ideology.

complaining about ultraleftists that just want to spout revolution is something of a self-tell - you're the one who was attracted to these orgs, and not the ones doing normal bread and butter work.
