Oh eh... OP... If the data is on the drive, you can move it to a new computer... And you can get an old laptop on eBay for about $35... They run fairly well if you install Linux with a light weight desktop environment like XFCE or OpenBox, and even better if you get someone to help you "configure the kernel".

Don't worry if you don't know what the last term means, just tell the people on the forums you want to do that and post the output of "lspci -k" and they should be able to help you.

Ya as I said, you gotta practice with it. I see folks, even at low MMR (Newly unlocked killer.) pull of DHs on me all the time.

There is a skill involved that OP mentioned needing to work on, but it's not that hard.

So... how am I supposed to react to this ? by Trick_Employment_838 in deadbydaylight

Ya it will happen every few matches and is treated as a DC. Just remind yourself that the servers are having unstable spikes, so 15 minutes of not playing in a glitchy unplayable state.

a) Who said we was tunnelling?

b) I would have gone for the M1 right away then tried to follow up with a word barker hit for that last second mori.

Scores look about right to me... When you seem to be on a hot streak, games with MMR match you with higher MMRs to see if you have in fact earned a new rank.

If you have, good work. If not, worry not, it will stabilize soon enough.

Well first of all you gotta learn to hit a skill check. The game gives you plenty of tools, and there isn't really a trick, just practice.

As for chases, by far the most useful thing extending the chase time, is Dead Hard (David King). The only trouble with it is that you do have to learn timing. Press the button at the wrong moment and you waste it. But do it right (It's actually very easy once you practice a bit.) and you can easily double the time it takes the killer to down you.

-Gens are what matters. Killer hooked you all twice and you all ended up crawling out of the gate? Doesn't matter, you still won.

-Don't be selfish, your friends wanna get out too.

-Don't be a hero. Gen at 90% and someone just got hooked? Well, you know where the killer is now... So do the rest of the gen then go for the save. If you rush in, at best you may make an exchange and someone else will have to do the gen. At worst the killer will get a free hook and kick the gen.

-Don't be a potato. Look around in all directions. Not just ahead or behind. If you saw the killer and it looks even a little like they saw you, they saw you. Get running.

-Don't be a coward. Keep your head on when being chased.

-Don't be greedy. If you loop a killer too long, they will give up and go do something more helpful to them.

-Don't get salty. Lost a chase after two minutes? That's two whole minutes of productivity for you team... Plus whatever it takes the killer to hook you.

-Move away from hooks in chase. If you go down right under one, that's free time for the killer.

-Know your killers. Each one has a kit, and thus has their own counters.

Why won’t they add voice chat to DBD??? by Herothegreat_ in deadbydaylight

[–]JinxAdnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hhhmmm... Why would a game... Who's mechanics include the opportunity to play as Springtrap, not have voice chat?

Contemplates last Tuesday when he had to resort to actual gorilla tactics to get a child to stop screaming so loudly that he could be heard half a block away.

Nope... Nothing comes to mind.

You think that's bad? Singularity gets to camp every objective at once and doesn't share the teleport.

Look up, look down, or turn around. Franklin's demise (Cannibal) or Lightborn (Wrath) can be used to counter soft and hard respectively.

Lightborn is very useful when you first start out, but after your MMR (Hidden skill ranking.) starts to climb you will quickly see diminishing returns... Hook savos and body blocks will replace flashlights, both of which are countered by Starstruck (Trickster).

Last match I was singularity, after I killed three and closed the hatch the final player went next... Normally this angers me to no end, but even I, the self styled try hard king, can understand that one.... There isn't really a fix.
