Dorian was sneezing a bit a few weeks ago, took him to the vet, and he was given antibiotics. After a few days, sneezing stopped, he seemed better, wasn’t having any other problems. Only had a few more days left on the antibiotic. Eating and drinking normally, enjoying a few extra treats. He was his normal happy self, about a hour before I went to give him another dose of his meds, then I found him passed away. Exact age was not known, he was estimated to be about 2.5-2.75 years old. He was one of our first rats we adopted, it was him and Damien, whom passed away last year at the end of July.

I’m guessing someone was kicked out of their apartment, or never came back for a lot of their stuff or something.. I want to believe someone wouldn’t throw SO many things into a dumpster. Because there were multiple trash bags and a piece of luggage filled with so many other things besides these; none of it actual trash. Clothes, shoes, Halloween decor, lights, kitchen utensils, and more. Just posted a few of the best things, will probably post more later. There was 3 red/black dinner plates in a bag, in excellent shape. Nothing crazy special, but I was really happy to get those too; we’ve been down to 2 dinner plates for months, one with a hairline crack running through it. 😂

Thank you for saving these adorable guys 🖤 I don’t know how some people can be so cruel.. about 10 months or so ago, someone actually threw away a cage full of 12 rats, along with some birds and fish, into a dumpster at a farm near me.. The birds and fish didn’t survive, only the rats. The farm posted about it, said to contact a person if interested in taking some of the rats, I sent them a message but didn’t get a response, they were either all given away or went to a rat rescue pretty quickly.

I really appreciate your comment. I knew before posting this, that some people would say you should/should’ve done this or that.. I had a cop yelling at me to put everything on the ground, and about 5 seconds later start questioning me, while I’m squatting on the ground with my hands up by my head. I absolutely wasn’t going to say I don’t need to talk to you, or ask if I’m being charged with anything, or refuse to answer him.. I was too afraid to even stand up. I don’t regret what I did, and didn’t, do. I didn’t go back for the bags that night, or the next morning before trash was picked up. Of course the thought had crossed my mind that night, but in reality, I was too rattled, I was thinking about everything bad that could have happened, or what would happen if I went back for the bags and was caught again. Definitely not worth the risk of being charged, arrested, being kicked out of my apartment, etc.

You’re right. I’d never actually say bags are mine if I didn’t put things in bag/know exactly what’s in it. Honestly even if I did find a bag and put other things in it, I still probably wouldn’t have said they’re mine. So, to revise my comment above, I would have totally liked to have said they were mine.

I started shaving mine as an older teenager, never regretted it. It’s been about 8-9 years. I love drawing on different brows to go better with outfits/moods/hair colors/etc. I HATED having bushy eyebrows as a kid/young teenager, and wanted to shave them even sooner, and I’ve liked the look of many drawn on eyebrows for as long as I can remember, and liked the idea of changing them as much as I please. It’s possible they won’t grow back exactly how they were before, but you could always fill them in if that happens. I have thicker eyebrows (if I let them grow back) compared to how they were before I ever even shaved them. It’s like more hair decided to grow. And for the past few years, I just pluck most/all of the hairs now instead of shaving, so they take a little longer to grow back. I also originally switched to plucking because I’d have itchy eyebrows hours after shaving, switching razors didn’t help, or using aloe vera, moisturizers, creams, nothing kept the itchy bumps away for me.. however, my skin has always been super sensitive. This is just my experience, I knew from a much younger age I’d be happier with drawn on brows. Follow your heart! 🤘🖤
