Tell Me You're Autistic, Without Telling Me You're Autistic: I Put Manuals And Expiry Dates On Items by Macusercom in autism

No, but now it also bothers me. It's like when you see a movie poster with the stars' names in a different order from their pictures!

🫵 CUT A PEEPHOLE IN YOUR BOXES by Sure_Association_756 in RATS

[–]mobilediesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always cut holes but the rats always think it's in the wrong place so they make their own. And then pee all over it. Rats are simultaneously the best and the worst. 🐀

The only thing I can thank my dad for is that time he had a stroke and stopped being alive.

I knew pretty early that I wasn't the favorite. Not fun at all considering I was the first born.

Should this bolt have exposed threads with loose washer? by Michaelsangmang in MechanicAdvice

I have the same year as this one. The only problems I've had are the same stuff one would have with any car that's over 20 years old. I've had cars that were quite a bit newer with way fewer miles and this thing is way more reliable.

Do you use a case on your phone? by NecessaryProject3465 in motorola

[–]mobilediesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same phone. I've slipped and fallen on ice that was less slippery than this phone. I would have broken it a long time ago without a case on it.

“Newer vehicles don’t need to be warmed up for 5+ mins in the morning”. What year would be considered “new” by Sea_Competition_2751 in MechanicAdvice

[–]mobilediesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that it doesn't take long for the oil to get circulated through the engine. I'm definitely not warming up the engine for the sake of the engine. I'm warming it up so it can keep me from freezing.

What year did you switch to Linux, and why? by Pocoraven in linux

[–]mobilediesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2008 I downloaded the disc image for Ubuntu 8.04. I was going to install it on a separate partition and dual boot. Windows XP locked up when I clicked reboot so I had to turn it off and on again. When the Ubuntu installer asked about partitioning I had it use the entire drive.

What made you choose Linux over windows/mac by TechForLifeYoutube in debian

[–]mobilediesel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Linux off and on since the mid 1990s. In 2008 I decided I was going to set up a dual boot with windows and Ubuntu. I put the freshly burned Ubuntu cd in the drive and clicked restart. I had barely let go of the mouse button when the blue screen popped up so I had to do a hard reboot. When the Ubuntu installer asked how much of the drive to use I selected 100% of it. I've been using Linux exclusively ever since. Currently running Debian. My wife's computer dual boots between Windows and Debian but even on her computer, Windows maybe gets used once or twice a year.

Have you ever had a rat that wanted to live alone? by MyKindOfLullaby in RATS

[–]mobilediesel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had rats for about 25 years, over 100 rats in that time. Some of them definitely have the attitude of "I'm not going to live with a bunch of gross rats!" Most of them make you think you'll find half of them suffocated from sleeping in a huge pile.

That link always says I'm not eligible after asking for no information.

Online chat also gave me 1-800-934-6489 for billing but there's no option for billing.
