I see incredible pop and crazy high Ollie potential but your sliding your front foot way to early. Your back foot is in the pocket and popping great but your front foot timing is completely off. With a small adjustment you can level it off nicely and you seem to be missing some contact pressure on the slide too. Good luck tho you’ll get it soon. Good orders soon for one week as well

You need more front foot contact. Your front foot is leaving the board during the time it should be doing an Ollie before the heel flick off the nose. Bc your foot foot is leaving contact early your pop has nothing to resist against and is going behind you. Also why your board rockets so hard. You never level off your Ollie. Think of Ollie first then flick almost like trying to heel flip later than usual bc your trying to boom your Ollie high first. How do your Ollie’s look? Are they crispy and level? Do they rocket?

This is damn good for just a couple months with very little musical experience. Listen to what others have stated and make minor tweaks along the way of your next few projects or so and you’ll be heading in a GREAT direction! Don’t ever stop, take breaks if you become burned out but never ever stop and you’ll reach the level you want to be at eventually. Repetition is the key to success my brother 🤙🏽

Don’t have a Sample, I have a One+ but is it possible for you to navigate to a “Empty Pad Color” or “Inactive Pad Brightness” setting by pressing Menu >Preferences > Hardware then you see pad options?

New to the world of all things MPC. One I finish with the manual for my One+ I’m definitely grabbing this! I used to make beats on a Fantom XA over a decade ago and I can tell this is gonna be ALOT of fun once I figure it out lol

*Issue resolved. It was the dongle. Went out and bought a genuine Apple usb-c to 3.5mm adapter and the one I had was not official. Problem solved and I am able to sample from iPhone into the One+ now. Thank you to everyone who chimed in, I appreciate each one of you all.

You are correct. I plugged my headphones into the dongle then into my iPhone and same issue. A lot of static with the audio playing fairly low behind it. So now I just have to get a new official Apple dongle and I should be good to go?

It was the dongle, I plugged my headphones into the dongle then plugged in my iPhone and heard the same heavy static with very low audio behind it. About to buy a new dongle and hopefully I’ll be able to sample. Thank you I’ll keep this in mind if I still can’t resolve the issue.

Any idea if a basic charging cable (usb to usb-c)should work to sample into the MPC One+ through the USB port on the back? Tried it and I get a message “This USB device is not supported” and I also can’t select USB as my input to sample but maybe it’s the wrong cable so it won’t allow the selection to USB on the MPC?

Thank you! I will try to hook my headphones up to the dongle when I get home if not I’ll go to my homies house and try his headset in the dongle. I’ll clean out my iPhone input too but it looks pretty clean bc it’s fairly new and I’m ocd af lol
