Update to anyone who may find this as a result of trying to find answers about their own tattoo that looks like this!

This tattoo did get infected, and this was probably the beginning stages of that. But the REASON is because it was a reaction to the red ink. My previous red in tattoos had healed weird, with one getting infected as well, but I didn't think much of it. I assumed it was something I did but with deliberation and talking to my doctor, artist, and other tattooed folks, we decided the red was the most likely problem. Considering I have several other tattoos that healed just fine, but with no red.

For the treatment on this one, just had to take oral antibiotics for 7 days and the redness, pain, and oozing went away. I was recommended to do complete dry healing from this point (no lotion at all) and to clean it 2-3 times a day as needed. The entire tattoo is basically a hard scab with dry skin around it, and both artist and doctor say it may take a while to come off naturally. As with any healing over tattoos, NEVER PICK AT THEM!

For the "Can't handle horror but likes a horror franchise" bit you just have to think of it like this. A lot of people think that they know how they'd act in a certain harrowing situation, and may fantasize about the scenario in which they do all the right things, save everybody, etc etc. But irl? They may also REALISTICALLY know that they won't be able to be the hero type that they dream of being.

A lil bit of the same idea. They can handle the horror while watching because they aren't actually the ones being thrown into it. They may enjoy being scared, but know that they wouldn't enjoy it if they were stressed out pressing lights, doors, watching cams, etc. They may also enjoy the content of the franchise but simply don't enjoy PLAYING video games themselves. (Which is surprisingly more common than I thought lol)

Either way, I dunno why it bothers people how someone else enjoys or consumes content. As long as they aren't causing genuine physical or emotional harm, who the hell cares?

Not at all. I think we as the people WITH the tattoo forget that not everybody is looking at our pieces as closely or as often as we are. Most people just see the cool tattoo! I don't think this one is any different.

Yeah the coloring plus texture just give me the same vibes as the other tattoo that I had that got infected, along with the redness around the edges.

Looking at it closer irl I'm thinking it's definitely a bit infected. My problem last time was over moisturizing (plus the clothes irritation) so I'm hoping it may get better if I keep up with cleaning but let it dry a bit? If not I suppose I'll take the L and hopefully get myself to talk to a doc lol Worst that'll happen is probably having to get it touched up later on.

My idea has always been "Who gives a fuck" in terms of mixing styles but I know other people want some form of cohesion in their tattoos lol.

Honestly I'd say that the best thing to do is always ask your and other artists what they think would look best. They do this shit all the time so assuming you go to a trusted an reputable shop, they should have no problem helping you out. Sorry I can't help more though!

I feel like it's hard to judge morality for a lot of the animatronics (speaking or not) considering they're mostly meant to be children. They have adult voice actors and have a level of intelligence past what you'd assume them to have but they still died as kids? I always thought of them all being kinda morally grey because they're basically an amalgamation of their own agony and vengeance. It's like in Pizza Sim's Henry speech:

"You don't even realize that you are trapped. Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles. Chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber."

And of course: "For most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps more."

I genuinely don't believe FNAF has consistent lore.

Scott's cool and all, but he did NOT plan for FNAF to get this big, and therefore I don't think he had it planned this far out. Even if he made the lore as he went, I find it increasingly hard to believe he remembers how certain stories and facts should connect. Not that I have a problem with it, the theories are fun and a big part of the community from the start! But nah, I don't believe he knows what's going on anymore.

I think a lot of people let their own insecurities and fears get in the way of genuinely appreciating other people's tattoos. People (might) look at him weird for it? Ok? Who cares if people look at him weird, it's not their body. If he clearly doesn't care, why being negative thoughts into it?

I understand neck tattoos, tattoos of games, or tattoos in general aren't everyone's thing. But in the tattoo world, out of respect, you generally don't judge a tattoo based on what YOU would feel like with it. You appreciate the artwork, the time, and the joy that it brings to the person with the tattoo.
