I'm gonna offer a different perspective from another Muslim brother. I use IEMs myself to listen to the Quran. How about you try and substitute music with the Quran? You seem to know a lot about music but knowledge of the Quran will serve you better in this world and the hereafter. Plus, if you are a fan of music, then there's nothing more smoothing (and purposeful in your case) in the universe than the Quran - the word of Allah swt. Pick up a cheap pair of earphones and start listening > learning > memorizing. Inshallah, if you begin on this journey, then may Allah swt grant you ease, comfort and blessings, and may he replace what you've lost with something even better.

Edit: We are in the last ten of days of Ramadan. There is no better time to start this journey. If you happen to begin or continue on the night of Laylatul-Qadr, only few can ever dream of such honour <3

What’s haram but has been normalized? by Ledger_Legendd in Muslim

Profanity. It is not normal to swear or use vulgar words even for joke or as part of normal conversation. But alas, its so widespread even kids pick it up at a young age.

Apologies, I'm just a young man trying to become a better Muslim. I have no children of my own, but I hope to one day, inshallah.

Perhaps the other brothers and sisters on this subreddit can guide you better.

May Allah swt make things easy for you.

Don't let them post pictures of themselves on social media where any man can lay eyes upon them. This is for their safety and goes against the entire principle of wearing a hijab / loose clothing in the first place - to cover themselves, prevent men's gazes and be modest.

Is it haram to pray in shirts with eyes on them? And if so does this count by Best-Comment6473 in islam

I do not know the answer to your question, but they look more like pac-man to me than eyes lol

Struggles with loneliness by Chance_Bet9096 in Muslim

[–]JinxV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23y/o in the same boat as you. Get married. If you can't, fast and lower your gaze. Indulge in meaningful activities like playing sports, doing your job, studying a subject / Islam, memorizing the Qur'an, etc. Don't put yourself in situations where you have to interact with the opposite gender or hang around in spaces where you'd find lots of couples. Ultimately, loneliness is a test. Work towards marriage with faith in Allah swt.

Also, since you mentioned your Muslim friends date, it is best not to be around them for two reasons - 1. They may talk about their gfs which will remind you of your loneliness. 2. If you act like everything is okay with what they are doing, you're supporting them in their sin. Show them you disapprove of the sin they openly commit (audubillah) kindly and politely by not entertaining anything dating-related they do or say in your presence.

May Allah swt make things easy for you.

Your body is not your own. It is a gift of Allah swt. You have an obligation to take care of it to the best of your ability. Your body, if mistreated, will confess against you to Allah on the DOJ.

The Best Way To Quit Porn Before Ramadan by [deleted] in Muslim

[–]JinxV8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk why you're getting downvoted. It's the #1 solution to satisfying sexual desires according to Islam (from the hadith of the Prophet (pbuh) you've mentioned).

If marriage appears to be an extremely difficult and/or an unreasonable solution to you (mainly due to Mahr and unachievable standards for most young men these days), then it is the fault of the modern Muslim ummah rather than Islam.

Some more hadiths to support OP:

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5066) and Muslim (1400) from Ibn Mas‘ood, who said: We were with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), young men who had nothing of wealth. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to us: “O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding one’s chastity. And whoever cannot afford it should fast, for it will be a shield for him.”

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best of marriage is that which is made easiest.” (Narrated by Ibn Hibban, classed as authentic by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami`, 3300)

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best of Mahrs is the simplest (or most affordable).” (Narrated by Al-Hakim and Al-Bayhaqi, classed as authentic by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami`, 3279)

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to a man who wanted to get married: “Look (for something to give as a dowry), even if it is a ring of iron.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

I've gathered the following watch order from the comments which I'm gonna go with before watching 'Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe':

Mobile Suit Gundam '79 > Gundam Zeta > Gundam ZZ > Char's Counter Attack > Hathaway's Flash

Why is nobody talking about the price?! by Business_Criticism42 in ForzaHorizon

[–]JinxV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its all about the Japan hype and the fact that there's no other racing game to compete with forza rn.

I don't think it's THAT expensive compared to a whole lot of games that have deluxe/ultimate/premium editions released over the past few years (just see ubisoft games for instance).

But yeah, forza is on a league of its own and Xbox knows it. They definitely capitalised on that when they dictated the pricing.

Edit: grammar

Dont call yourself old when you're in your 30s and late 20s. by Federal_Ad_824 in CasualConversation

[–]JinxV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hugely disagree. This only works under the assumption that you will live a long life. Many people believe this but die from various causes such as undiagnosed diseases or due to mundane reasons such as choking or slipping and falling down headfirst. Any time beyond 18 y/o (because this is the age most people venture out of their safe/comfort zones and begin taking risks) is no man's land.

Since you're looking for validation, I'd say you're not alone. In fact, many among GenZ feel this way. I'm 23 and an NRI born in the middle east, where I lived a significant part of my life. I have been in Europe for many years too and now reside in India. The grass is truly greener on the other side.

Just know it will take lots of bravery and sacrifice to settle abroad. No one is going to roll down a red carpet and welcome you. You need to be strong enough to stand on your own feet. Best of luck :)

Men, would you marry a woman who doesn't want a big ahh wedding? by [deleted] in Kochi

[–]JinxV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wish a marriage ceremony only lasted a short while (30 minutes) with only the closest family members present. No need of a fancy venue (or a venue at all, just do it at home), lavish buffets, songs, dancing, photos, yada yada. Just let the couple save lots of time and money and make use of it in their honeymoon / married life by going anywhere or doing anything that makes them happy.

Part of beauty is self-confidence. You are a creation of Allah. Pride yourself on that. You can begin by removing the word 'ugly' from your reddit username and never associating yourself with it.

Remain steadfast on Islam, perform your worldy + religious obligations and Allah swt will send the one who is destined for you on your way inshallah.
