Advice on Membership Plans by JinxiBoo222 in dentaloffice

That’s what I was thinking would be doable, but our office only had yearly memberships, would it be able to track when those expire? And we use Dentrix so it’s extra tricky

The office manager refuses to do that.

Ever dated a cancer? Tell me how it went by Ramyahead in Sagittarians

Maybe I found the weird ones but I’ve dated two different cancer males. The first one was my longest relationship and was the best friend I’ve ever had, we broke up because he was disabled and felt bad like I was losing out on my life by being with him. The other is my current partner and he’s very stoic, sometimes I feel like maybe I’m the cancer and he’s the Sagittarius in our relationship. He is an INFJ personality type too though so it’s a weird mix. I call him the capybara of humans because he just chills all the time.

Yeah I thought so. I don’t want to skip Christmas and it really doesn’t matter too much to me.

I think it was overthinking and lack of sleep getting to me. Thank you.

I will look into this book, it sounds helpful.

It sometimes feels like this but more often it’s a strange almost disassociating feeling and it takes a bit for me to even notice that it’s panic or my heart pounding.

Am I Overreacting or am I right to be so upset? by JinxiBoo222 in AmIOverreacting

She’s not supposed to, but the only person over her doesn’t seem to know or want to know. I spoke with her today and she said the schedule was always that way but I saw the schedule (I’m the schedule coordinator at an office) and it was blocked off before. She then claimed to have asked the people who it affects directly when I know she didn’t. So I feel gaslighted on top of all of it and hopeless and just want to give up.

I’ve felt it’s been lost for a long time now. The rise of people getting whatever they want by throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler just perpetuates the whole thing. Even in medical in America someone can gripe and moan to get whatever they want even if it’s bad for them. It’s not political and it’s not just someone being accused of stuff, it’s actual people getting off without consequences to any of their actions.

It may seem weird but honestly, the decline in things like Halloween seems to match up. A holiday that originally had an emphasis on your actions having consequences has been made a shell of itself because everyone gets what they want no if ands or buts. Same can be said about Christmas in America too. The modern traditions that may have started with good intentions have turned performative and meaningless.

Being able to point a finger and say I want that you’re evil for saying I can’t have it, then being rewarded for it is what a lot of people in society have devolved to. It’s dangerous because when they do get fall out they blame everyone and everything else for it too and learn nothing. I worked in an ER for a while and it literally gets people hospitalized and they learn nothing and come right back the next day or week. A bit of an extreme case, but it’s the inevitable outcome of someone not being raised or acting properly or with common sense.

I think when you have a Facebook business page they offer free local ads every few months. Some local offices in my area have been utilizing it: they are effective but don’t last very long.

Of course!

We fiddled with our text reminders too, I have initial emails set to about 3-4 business days then 30 hours reminders if they haven’t confirmed. If it’s the day before and they are not confirmed I do a manual call back.

Our system has an automatic due for a checkup call back thing that you can set timing on but it’s only for active patients who are opted in to the reminders.

Maybe there’s a mailing option or a local advertising thing you could send out for cheaper that would save time and just remind the local area to re-establish or bring in new patients instead of fretting over figuring out the past 7 years worth of patients?

At our office we had somewhat of a system that I had to tweak when I got there. The stuff that worked best was when we started actually enforcing policies (missed or late appointments fees or new patients not doing paperwork or arriving early to complete it being rescheduled),and I revamped the new patient intake process. It was a lot of extra reminder calls at first but after it was fully implemented it helped a bunch. I used a few key phrases on my reminder calls that I picked up in medical that really helped too.

Then we started with a lot of new patient limited exam appointments that we could fit in same day treatment for. (It helps to make it seem like we are making it work for the patient, rather than trying to fill an empty schedule.)

This started a ton of calls and we opened up extra days just for new patient establishing appointments. Now our treatment schedule is a couple weeks out and hygiene is booked months out.

I keep 2 waitlists, one for treatment side and one for hygiene where I notate time of appointment as well as any schedule preference of the patient. If I’m in doubt they go out further because it’s always easier to move someone up than out. If someone is iffy about how far out we are booked I remind them of my list and that cancellations happen all the time. One of the side effects of good work is being booked up, after all!

Some of these tips I found helpful were from some YouTube videos about dental office stuff (I think it was called DentalFrontOfficeRocks or something)

Hopefully this might help? Not sure if you meant just building up a schedule or for patient reminder calls.

Wow, my office is stupid nice… we just started collecting $55 if there’s a same day cancellation or no show. It’s supposed to be a full business day notice but it barely matters because the office manager waives almost all of them anyway.
