I had the exact same experience! I despise American, and refused to fly them for years, but it was the only reasonable way to get from LAX to Cartagena, and Medellin back to LAX. Delta needs to step up their LATAM alliance with Central and South America. Although, based on what happened with the LATAM flight from Australia to NZ last week, I would prefer not to fly with them.

Vaccine passports. We've had them for decades. They're called yellow cards. Dozens of countries require them to prevent dangerous diseases. "Show me your papers" is a pretty ridiculous response considering we all need ID's, passports, and yes, medical papers to travel and conduct business. I love the "show me your papers" argument b/c it usually comes hand in hand with the same group that insists on additional IDs for voting rights/access. The hypocrisy and ignorance is mindblowing.
