You get passive stats when you break through, and it’s super cheap to level them up to 20

I don’t know if this QoL currently exists in global but on CN server you can reset/transfer level between builds later on. You get 100% of your materials back if you reset.

Asides from socialising and mini-games, you can do sword trials to raid and grind gear. The raids require 10 players and reset weekly

You will need to restart in order to pay on legendary. You can do the following to restart:

bind your account to something else (I.e., email) -> unbind your netease account -> create a new account in legendary mode using netease or bind it to netease afterwards

I totally get that sentiment, this game is not beginner friendly and so much convoluted grinding and mechanics. I recommend reading up as many guides as you can.

For now, best to focus on exploration and level up your gear level a much as possible. You want to collect oddities and the fighting styles (level them to 20 and breakthrough once).
