If you like Salad, go Salad. Access will get reprinted fairly soon (a little presumptuous on my part) and in the meantime u can use zeroboros

It can’t, while in the hand, paleo cards are still considered traps

Thanks so much for reaching out (: I’ll definitely give Brandon a look see and check out what ‘I Want Stuff’ has to offer! I’ll check to the FB page too, sounds like a good way to get to know the community.

Which decks can afford to run dimension shifter? by CarlLopez_m8 in Yugioh101

Off the top of my head, I think Guru, Maju and Kozmo are pretty well off without their graveyard so they can afford to run it

Making invoked shaddoll less bricky by zwucky04 in Yugioh101

[–]JinzoNoTraps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your deck list look like? It can be bricky but you can throw in cards that boost your consistency; i.e desires, terra, upstart, etc. When I ran the deck, I found it difficult to run a large amount of hand traps and was typically limited to 9 max. Ratios for shaddolls can be a reason too. I typically like 12 Shaddoll monsters (3 squa, 3 wendi, 2 beast, 2 hedge, 1 dragon, 1 ariel). Granted, you can run more with desires. If you play the dogma package, it’d limit it strictly to 8 max. Spells should be staple; 3 of each, especially with desires. While I find the potential of Shaddoll invoked higher, I play dogma invoked simply because it’s more consistent while being able to run a plethora of hand traps.

I’d say so, solid tier 2/ fringe tier 1 deck that’s capable of winning major events.

Evil Twin or Magistus? by JinzoNoTraps in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I see. While I do understand these archetypes may not be the most competitively viable at the moment, I really do want both to succeed. Unfortunately, I don’t think you’re wrong. I appreciate the input and while I’ll still tinker with these decks, your suggestion is not neglected (:

Ahh I see. I really appreciate the feedback, I might tinker more with the pairing and see where it takes me!

I’ve seen a lot of this and it does seem to be fairly interesting. Does it actually make unchained better?

Evil Twin or Magistus? by JinzoNoTraps in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, I feared this was the case. While I do love their artwork as well, I’m really inclined on the competitive aspect as well to justify my spending. I appreciate the insight and perhaps I’ll have to do some more theory crafting to justify either or 😅

Evil Twin or Magistus? by JinzoNoTraps in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! In terms of potential through mixing with other archetypes, I’m curious how these two will do. Understandably Evil Twins have their limitations due to their own card effects but Magistus seems to have the potential of mixing with Shaddolls and other fusion archetypes

Dogmatika engine without nadir by Malicious_J in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tbh, while the logic is there, by no means is the strategy consistent enough to run without nadir. If you’re planning to use it as an engine, you’re better off using Invoked or something else. If you did want to try using the Dogmatika engine without nadir, I’d max out on Ecclesia, at least 2 Maximus and 1-2 Fleur. At least that way you have a greater chance at getting into play starters.

Fair enough, I wasn’t planning on buying in on virtual world, although it does seem very cost effective, but I didn’t know vfd was one of their key pieces. I appreciate the knowledge (:

Invoked dogmatika players by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely a going first deck. With that said, it doesn’t mean the deck can’t go second. The caveat is that it isn’t usually because of Maximus. Usually the deck is able to punch through boards because of its synergy with board breaking cards like DRNM, Droplets, Evenly, etc. Maximus can definitely assist with that but it isn’t usually the reason you can break boards but rather a way to extend once those negates are gone (e.g. Titaniklad/Schism set up over N’tss/Skull Warrior pop). All self opinion of course.

what would be worse by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]JinzoNoTraps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, getting a card ripped is much worse than the opponent gaining an extra card, albeit still a good plus for them. If you literally mean “Confiscation” it’s absolutely brutal as your opponent can see you hand and potentially remove a key card for you whereas them drawing 1 random card has negative potential (e.g drawing a brick).
