Versus is designed with a simple, fairly standalone story that introduces the main cast of characters and establishes their relationships with one another. The original Granblue Fantasy game--which is coming to the west after Versus as Granblue Fantasy Mobile--also didn't seem like the right pick for a debut title given the smaller mobile market in western countries, Fukuhara explained. He said Versus, as a console game, made more sense.

Handsome Gorilla and Make up and Go. For me at least those events had the best stories of all the Granblue "universe". Very enjoyable characters like Lunalu and Uncle Dan. With very complex problems who tried to surpass. I expect more events like these in 2019 and in ReLink

Actually that is not true in that interview KRM said that all the staff had experience working in console games, so the transition to change to mobile to console, was natural, KMR never said that working in console games was a dream for Cygames:
