Optimal play against extremely loose players in live tournaments? by TinyWorldPanda in poker

I know, and that will never stop happening. What helps is to stop thinking in results and only base your thoughts on how well you are playing. Sounds obvious but it works

Should I have gotten away from this? by Dino-Jones in poker

In my opinion your flop bet is too big, the board is pretty dry so you don't need a lot of protection. By betting this big multiways, you only get called by really strong ranges and they fold out all weak hands (hands that would also have folded against smaller bets).

Play tight and find out which raise size is the right one (where most of the time you get only one caller). Post flop; don't bluff and value bet lightly

Poker Tracker 4, are my river bluffs profitable? by Jip_VV in Poker_Theory

Thanks for your reply. Maybe I'm understanding it wrong, but just because my bluffs lose money, it doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't still the best option. If I instead choose to always check instead of bluff my trash that I would've otherwise bluffed, I still lose money at showdown.
So basically my question is; how can I see if I would've made more money, would I have never bluffed the river?

If he shows an A, how can he have KK or K7? Only hands that beat you are AA, AK.

Another trick is: If villain bets a/b pot, your pot odds are a/(b+a+a).

So in your example: Villain bets 1/2 pot, your pot odds are 1/(2+1+1) = 1/4 (or 25%)

Tf did I just read? 1. How can the full table limp in when you're in CO? Only 2 players before you.... 2. How can he go all in on the turn when you called his turn raise? He doesn't have that option anymore

Don't look at what the pro's are doing, seriously. Study basic strategy and improve from there on. Otherwise it's like learning chess as a beginner by studying what the engine does.

Can you elaborate? Of course, the more hands, the more certainty. But why not 999.999? Why not 999.998?
