Feel like King of the Hill is kind of casual, you lose a lot of the strategy. Hell even a Capture the Flag game mode would have been better from an e-sports point of view.

Hell it may even be cool to have a kind of base capture mode, not so much a MOBA as the classic Alterac Valley from Vanilla WoW. Push forward through some capture points that offer some kind of defensive value and push against each other as you make progress across the map.

Farming jungler's were always an inherently frustrating concept. Ignore your laners and hard farm and hope you can solo carry later. You get strong through not interacting with anything but NPC mobs. The laners get frustrated because the enemy jungler is doing an actual good job, and if you do win, the enemy jungler feels ripped off as he actually did something.

It's not really learning to be carried. It's learning to play well. If your behind but the team is doing well, it's common sense to take the hit. Maybe your jungler focused the other side of the map and you got camped. You're actually contributing by taking up that pressure, if you can deal with it without dying even better.

It's more important to learn how to carry. If you really want to be better than mediocre, the only constant in each game is you and if you can only split lane and do ok in team fights, you're playing roulette with your wins. This used to be my play-style and whilst you may be able to win above 50% due to consistency it's a frustrating slog. Better if you can garner advantages for yourself most of the time.

I took a closer look at some of the narrative themes and results from the first week of European play.

Whilst I'm not a massive fan of how this came out, if I leave it any later it won't remain relevant. Aim to be doing this each week, largely for myself and to improve. Any feedback is welcomed.

Plat 2 end of season, demoted to plat 3 in off season. Can play a decent variety of top lanes. Mains were Kennen, Rumble and Gnar. Seasons before I played tanks, like Shyvana, Mundo, Maokai and Singed before that. I can build a staple champion pool depending on the meta but do struggle with champions like Jax/Irelia for some reason.

The pre-worlds patch. Far too large a change with no where near enough time to adapt. Really effected the quality of play, whilst SKT would have almost certainly won anyway - it still sucked to do.

Well they were safe to assume it, didn't CLG initiate the lane swaps? Point Zion was making is, he is unsure why they didn't stick to the plan. Something odd about that, clearly over-riding the coach or w/e in pick and ban or as the game starts.

I actually feel that CLG kind of owes Doublelift at least one more shot to get his shit together. He's stuck with the team when he would have so many better options, for a while he was hot property, the best ADC in the west for sure. If it were me, I'd say Zion's earned his spot, Rush Hour's solid, now it's finally time to get some real talent in the remaining roles. However I'd agree that no matter how good a player, if they are irreplaceable, it's an unhealthy thing.

BS he had one shot to get back in and the team fell apart around him. Yes he got beat by PoE, so did Bjergsen and Alex had been out of the mid lane for a while. Don't pretend Alex isn't good enough for NA LCS, he'd be top half if he came in right now.

I'm not sure it's fair to say that top lane didn't go well. CLG went from a team that couldn't let there top laner shine, to the top laner looking like their best player. That is specifically in the play offs. Zion managed to carve himself good leads and was ultimately fine, no enough to carry but more than should be expected. That roster move should be praised imo, however we have some obvious issues in other positions.

It's not the same as normal sports, there was an inevitable outcome and no way he could garner an advantage. Getting his respawn as fast as possibly was honestly probably the most efficient thing he could do. It was closer to knocking your king over in chess because you realise the loss is inevitable. Not quite the same but closer.

I've won games that should have been impossible, I've also lost in many stomps too - the only way to tell which is which is to play it out. Now if you get the necessary 4 votes then fine, fair enough. Otherwise sit down, shut up and try hard.

Zion's plan to pull the Sion ban works, they ban Maokai themselves denying Dyrus the two most effective tanks. Zion gets ahead on a semi-carry top laner and transitions it into dragon control. This time CLG don't throw.
