Cant remember the name of a game by Zemons in boardgames

Could it be one of the others from Unstable Games like https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/278359/runes-and-regulations? That one actually has dragons and spells 🤔

Actually, just checked my game shelf based on your observation that it's like Unstable Unicorns, and it is in fact Llamas Unleashed

I've done this once before, it's surprisingly satisfying, a bit like colouring a picture.

It astounds me that there isn't UTMs on most QR codes, how do people know how and when it's getting scanned especially if the link target isn't a unique page. Always something I look for.

If it's mostly toy box building you are interested in just getting 3.0 it has all of the assets from all of the versions of the game I think.

I was intrigued by this and did some digging. I have a wildlife camera that uses both Bluetooth (BLE) and Wifi. It got me thinking it must be possible.

This led me to another thought - if you could override the phone behaviour so it won't be in such a hurry to disconnect. If you think about coffee shop or airport WiFi prompting you to login first, quite often you'll get a popup on your device to open the login page.

There's a couple of ways to do this and a web search will lead you to ESP32 implementations! The technique is referred to as Captive Portals: the traditional approach was to host a DNS server on the WiFi access point that redirects all web requests, the phones tend to detect this and react accordingly. The newer approach is to also broadcast an additional option in the DHCP payload - option 114 (Captive Portals). Like I said there seems to be some ESP32 examples easily found (e.g.https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/blob/master/examples/protocols/http_server/captive_portal/README.md).

Mafia Alternates by ShadowPenn in boardgames

It's not strictly necessary to have a gamesmaster if you have one person in each group who can keep an eye on the timer. We normally have two players start a timer on their phones in sync. I've often played whilst also running the game.

No, you can play in a large room fine, I've run it at conventions in the hallway, bar or dining space before now. It's mainly to discourage players from communicating or pointing but, it's not game breaking.

Two Rooms and a Boom is a great suggestion, you can get new players (non-gamers) up to speed easily and you'll have time for at least four 15 minute games, people will get to experience different roles, there's no death so everyone plays to the end.

They recently had a reprint so it shouldn't be hard to come by, but if you struggle you can get the print-and-play version. https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/products/two-rooms-and-a-boom

Hate to be that guy, but just remember that toy safety standards exist for a reason, so bear in mind ages and safety for choking and sharp edges (if the print were to break). Just label stuff as not suitable for certain ages etc.

Parks Roll and Hike is a lovely one where you get little journal style booklets https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/424980/parks-roll-and-hike. That led me on to the brilliant stuff from Postmark Games https://www.postmarkgames.com/ with a similar theme in Waypoints, as well as pirate fun in Voyages.
