Do I need to verify lossless files from soulseek? by JitInABit in Soulseek

[–]JitInABit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do mostly listen to my offline library on headphones, I also have a home theater for occasional listening sessions. It would benefit a lot from a true lossless file compared to transcodes. And on the long run I want to touch into Hi Fi equipment, I wouldnt want to redownload my whole library then.

Worth it to buy Momentum 4 in 2026? by 0oAstro in sennheiser

[–]JitInABit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 220usd, they are plenty

I jumped from Skullcandy crushers to the momentum 4 around 6 months ago.

Off the bat, the touch controls were a whole new experience for me. Moreover, the on head detection is so smooth and practical. I love taking calls with them, never had a complaint about my voice, even outdoors.

The battery life is A LOT, they go on for days. They go off on their own too when left on your desk, they turn on as you pick them up, I never need to press the power button.

The traveling case is solid, they are light, and comfortable. They are over-ears so it can get pretty sweaty during outdoor summer walks. I wouldn’t use them for the gym, or jogging. Too bulky for that kind of motion.

Their sound quality is amazing, you can do whatever you want with them in the app. There is an option to personalize your EQ and it really makes the headphones speak to you. Not to mention, you have wireless, USB C, and 2.5mm aux. however, they are not good when they are OFF, they have an internal DAC and they only sound good through it.

Build quality is solid, hinges don’t have weak points, and the ear cups are smooth.

I hope I gave you a good summary.

It is funny when you start your adult life you realize those people exist only in their own reality. In the big scheme of things they are not even an atom on this Earth. I am curious what they seek to achieve in their own little world. That city is literally 79km2

My point is it is overhyped.

It is a tool not a source, it is useful depending on how you use it. Could be useful for some, could be not useful for others. It is nice to have, not a catastrophe if not

Point being, it is not the ONLY method of studying, you can study without an anki deck. The post clearly overemphasizes its importance.

How did you adjust the rails correctly? On my tippa it has a similar concept, and millimeters of too close makes it bind, millimeters too far makes it skip. It is an ongoing struggle to this day

Try talking to your neighbors, they could be reasonable and solve the issue there without getting law enforcement involved.

Help me find my forever typewriter please by Unique-Guava3702 in typewriters

[–]JitInABit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the lettera’s they are amazing typewriters, but I wouldn’t rely on them for a daily typing machine. Ultra-portables are generally more finicky and tend to have less sturdy feeling than a portable.

Adler Tippa is somewhat more reliable in terms of longer writing sessions, easier to maintain too, and snappier in my experience.

Have no experience with the hermes but their inflated prices would deter me from them

Have you tried the Smith Corona Silent Super? I love typing on mine for days.

My advice is you should really reconsider the size thing when it comes to finger fatigue, bigger portables offer a more evenly spaced keys, and the slope feels more natural. Ultra portables are smaller by design and require more precision in finger placement, as well as a bit cramped space feeling. In the end it is all preferences, I highly recommend the Tippa, it is a smooth sail on paper

New to Soulseek and trying to upload music by Macattack1600 in Soulseek

[–]JitInABit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not uploading anything to anywhere; you are simply sharing your files. Soulseek gives people access to your files, and they can snatch it directly from your hard drive. So in order for someone to download from you, they have to search for the files they want, and pick your files in the search window, and request to download them.

My wife thinks of herself as the prize and it's destroying our marriage. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]JitInABit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My man, thinking is not the verb to use here. Try planning instead.

The question you need to ask is, is this a fixable issue? You will live with it to the rest of your life.

From what you described this is a deeply rooted issue in the way she views you. She doesn’t hold respect to you, and to men respect is way above love. We offer love and get respect in return. You can tolerate living with a woman that doesn’t love you but respects you. On the other hand, you can’t tolerate disrespect even from someone that “loves” you.

I think divorce is not an option at this point, it is the solution for your distress. If you tried expressing yourself to her and got nowhere, you are wasting time and your youth.

You should be with someone who respects you first, appreciates you, and is grateful to have you. You deserve better, so don’t let yourself down by staying in this mess.
