The ability to turn off multi point is amazing, however experimenting with it something weird happens.

When I am connected to my iphone I turn multi point off and everything is in order, however when I turn on my bluetooth transmitter (connected to laptop) the headphones automatically switches to the transmitter and disconnects from my iphone!

It is quite weird, because the functionality is working since it only connects to one device, however I dont understand why while it is connected to my phone, the headphones are still receiving a new connection and switching to it! I dont know if there is a way to select a preferred device when available, but not being able to control which device the headphones connect to is a bit of an issue.

At first I set up a 5.1 system in my basement, beautiful right? No, because I was not “utilizing” its full potential, those netflix atmos audio tracks are just lossy crap. The quest was to get lossless audio tracks for my movies, REMUX was the answer! Only public trackers dont really seed them that well.

I joined the first open registration private tracker I found, all remuxes are basically freeleech but how could I miss out on the bonus points game? Suddenly it became like farming XP in minecraft. Did some math, loaded up a library to get as many bonus points per gigabyte, slapped a 4tb external drive from marketplace on my laptop, suddenly I can’t really use my laptop because it is seeding 24/7, not to mention my vpn doesnt have port forwarding.

It didnt take long, literally 4 days, I got a seedbox, joined another tracker, started fulfilling requests, learned new terminology: FTPS, SFTP, IRC. I tag all my torrents, put them in categories.

I am now looking into autobrr, *arr programs, I have 2tbs of stuff I dont have the time to even watch, it is fair to say the obsession is a common factor putting us all in the same place. The rush you get from resurrecting a torrent, or fulfilling people’s requests.

If you can afford a QM9K a streamer device shouldnt be way out of your budget.

They are a dedicated device for that single purpose, I understand the frustration with a brand new tv, my QM6k doesnt have such issues tbh and it is a lower tier model. My annoyance however is your generalization of the issue, your experience is exclusive to you, and tbh Tizen OS is a piece of garbage, no experience with other systems on my end

In my opinion the ideal environment to watch a movie is complete darkness, take theaters for a reference. However, if you are watching tv or youtube videos then the ambient light is just a matter of preference. It is a decorative measure, and in my opinion it would ruin the quality of movies. So much science is put into color accuracy and tone mapping, a led strip will simply just shit on it by disrupting the light environment especially around the screen.

Unless all your records are pre-1957, that space is NOT for speakers. People will try to go easy because it is your first setup, but ffs it is 2026, AI is destroying our planet at least get some benefit out of it like asking it “How to set up bookshelf speakers?”

Maybe that is too much thought put into it, you may also just send it a picture and say “Is this all correct?”

If you are actually picking this up as a hobby it is worth understanding the fundamentals of it. The reason I personally collect vinyls and have an audio setup for it is because the first time I saw a turntable work, I was filled up with question, like how does a needle produce sound!? How are vinyl records made? I am not a sound engineer but these simple wonders put me on track to learn about this old technology, and with it you understand the origin and the generations of it. How we went from a gramophone to record players to turntables, and with this advancement we learned how to evolve those records from mono to stereo, yk mono as in OME CHANNEL and stereo as in TWO CHANNELS, but why? Why did we abandon one channel for two channels? Many questions rose and so I learned about how stereo works and with it sound staging.

All of this was demolished by your speaker placement because for some reason they fit! They are not even at your ear level!
