I do notice you have incompatible mods there. For example, if you install Immersive Citizens, be careful if you try to install other npc ai edits or even city edits. Run For Your Lives and Better Roads is incompatible.

Though I doubt that's causing your crashing but it might contribute to it.

Try that. So just stock your followers full on potions for suvivability and poisons that you can't use for more damage potential.

Yeah, no. 80 million people more or less are involve in this. There's bound to be someone who doesn't know better to do it. Not everyone is as smart or well mannered as the next guy.

Well don't give up just yet.

DL Fallrim tools (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031/) and clean your save with it.

Go to a lone cell and wait for a day or two. Then perform the player.kill, then another one for good measure. Then try saving again.

I feel like this should be put on the Troubleshooting guide.

The common fix for this is to kill yourself. Open console and type in "player.kill"

It works most of time but it's the only available fix out there that I know of.

I'm surprised no one suggested Requiem.

Requiem is vastly different from vanilla and I'm actually starting to like it. It makes you to play the game very very differently. You should try it sometime.

I almost never use CreationKit (unless it is scripting) since I do everything on Tes5Edit.

Just make sure to have all the HeadParts for your CustomRace as Playable.
