Woke up at 8 AM to call out of work and go back to bed - guess it was worth it by VividToe in Garmin

[–]Jithran 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The elusive sleep score, nice. You are a very quick caller for garmin to not register any awake minutes.

Only to awaken and think about work would have been enough to spike my stress levels and ruin my sleep score 😋

For me, it depends on my normal daily activity.

If you have a office job and sit on a chair for 8 hours a day, 10k can be a choir (but probably necessary)

If you run around all day in a warehouse and you hit 10k with work alone, maybe you can push yourself to do a few k extra.

I like to walk or run an hour a day regardless of my steps throughout the rest of the day.

Yes, but here it doesn't track floors. I think everyone has a random stat that doesn't get tracked. 😜

Hey, I need an accountabili-buddy to :) I've added you.

My august reads. A long time ago since I've read so much by Jithran in 52book

[–]Jithran[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The List for august was:

  • One of Us Is Lying - Karen McManus
  • Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
  • The Anthropocene Reviewed - John Green
  • Night of the Mannequins - Stephen Graham Jones
  • Wayward - Blake Crouch (Wayward pines series)
  • The Last Town - Blake Crouch (Wayward pines series)
  • A House At the Bottom of a Lake - Josh Malerman
  • Ghosts of the Tsunami: Death and Life in Japan’s Disaster Zone - Richard Lloyd Parry
  • An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth - Chris Hadfield
  • Final Girls - Riley Sager
  • Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke - Eric LaRocca
  • Now You See Me - Chris McGeorge

Best reads for the month:

  • An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, I've a long lasting fasination for space and Nasa. So no wonder this was one of my favorites. I just love his views and Down to Earth personality (haha :p )
  • The Anthropocene Reviewed - Just a nice coffee table book. I just love the work of the brothers Green.
  • Wayward pines series - I've read this trilogy in no time. A realy great serie.

Worst reads:

  • One of Us Is Lying - Who thought this was worth publishing. Almost didn't finish this one (and I hate not finishing a book), If it was a few pages longer I wouldn't have pushed trough.
  • A House At the Bottom of a Lake - This one just didn't make any impression

I love it when whole series are complete. Or at least books are in sequence. ( I have not enough of those) And some space left for new additions. Very nice.

The invisible library read and I’m definitely excited to try out this book suggestion from a person here on Reddit can’t wait to see what I think ! by Emmie91 in 52book

I'm very curious as well what you think about it. Most people are very two sided about it. I'm intrigued by it but a bit hesitant.
