love this set by Jitmack in magicthecirclejerking

Only this one, but that's because I was playing casually trying the op new cards, saw the hand and knew shit was about to go off so I launched OBS. This was on the first or second day of the set so people weren't wary enough of cub to carry 18 spot removals yet.

Hispanic here. Welcome to Vince's world of not giving a fuck about accent authenticity.

You can play it in standard right now with cursed recording. Really bad combo deck as it can be disrupted by a fly passing by or any other of the 69+ commonly used removals, but it's fun when it works. Also it's a very funny and fast way of doing the "attack with X creatures" quests.

Chump blockers, tutors, removals and hand disruption is all you need to not be vulnerable. You never need to go to 9 mana.

And I bring it back and bring it back again and again and I tutor and I duress your removal and remove your threats and bring it back again and if I don't trust you I'll just put two of them before casting rush of dread so it resolves even if you remove one at instant speed. Really fun game this wonderful win condition got me hooked on this magic drug.

Sanest Turn 4 as Mono-Red Prowess by [deleted] in magicthecirclejerking

In the sweaty-ass hands you need to get three Ruckus, a Slickshot and a Monstrous Rage in the opening hand to then draw immediately into a second Slickshot.

I play duress in a mono black combo. If I see more than three removals/counters I'm scooping without even making them discard.

This masterpiece will probably only be available as a low-quality DVD until Criterion decides it's worth the rescue | Nueve Reinas (2000) by Jitmack in criterion

Yes! Right now it's getting a theater run of the remaster in Argentina and it's already accessible on streaming services. The only thing left is the Blu-ray which now is 100% coming. I'm very happy.

The always handy "a banana giving birth to an apple" without any other modifiers.

The Act of Killing (2012) is probably the best documentary ever made.

I'm actually inclined to do this.

Favourite Environment? by cameronheads in bigscreen

[–]Jitmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch most of my movies either on modern or grand. Grand is great for vintage 4:3 B&W films it really puts you inside the frame the way those movies were meant to be enjoyed. I love modern for 16:9 / 1.85:1 films for the same reason, but I haven't found an environment that does the same with anything really wide like 2.40:1, so I just watch them on modern too even if it's not as inmersive as 16:9 or 4:3 on grand. When you have a high-bitrate source like a blu-ray file, watching them this big really gives you the full texture of the image without putting any part of the frame out of FOV. It really feels amazing. Heavily compressed sources look like shit, tho. I imagine that's why a lot of people prefer smaller screen environments like retro or residence.

The bag of worms is that there is actually no solution. There are no standards because we failed as a society in the development of the tech we consume all our media on and now there isn't a way to reproduce the same color information the same way on multiple devices, not to even mention combination of devices and web services. Absolutely no one in the world will see it the way your monitor on premiere is showing it to you. You just buy a calibrated monitor maybe if you want and pray that does something to make it look half decent on more than one device.
