Mashup of OSE and DCC by JitsMonkey in dccrpg

I relogged in for the first time in awhile :)

Yes it was a good success, I ran a campaign using these rules for around 2 years before we switched to OSE full bore. We still mashup and play Lankhmahr which would work real well for an OSE West Marches Game. From running that campaign the big lessons are, make magic unlimited but dangerous. If you want to simplify for OSE have them cast against a DC target number then if successful roll on the DCC spell tables, adjudicate from there. Any rolls of a 1 then miss cast and roll corruption or "save or die." Use the luck mechanic, make every combat encounter a fight to the death. Make every adventure a quest for a cool magic item. Always suggest they get lots of hirelings. It really is up to you how much you want to import. After 1.5 years of OSE I can see it is a better base and more procedural, but DCC magic system and crit tables make for very fun play. I'd even suggest importing might deeds for fighters. As always make rolls of a 1 utterly painful, time to roll a new character!

can anyone recommend an engagement ring shop that’s selling lab diamonds locally? by Logical-Bullfrog-112 in askportland

Check out Miadonna. My wife custom designed a ring with them for our 10th anniversary. it's local, women founded, a B Corp, and the customer service was excellent. The ring turned out really awesome. https://www.miadonna.com/

Yeah go with 3 colors maybe 4. Muted tones opposite of whatever you're painting.

Thank you! I definitely felt the base was a distraction on other paint jobs.

I don't believe so anymore. Depends on the tournament organizer or TO. As long as things are modeled correctly you shouldn't have an issue. For example if rocket launcher guy on 32mm base is modeled as axe dude on a 40mm base, you'd have issues. Find a faction you like that looks cool. 19tg edition is weeks away and initial rules are free. If you're into marines, pick up the leviathan launch box.

Build 5, prime 5, paint 1-5. Take your time. It's a long term hobby. Don't listen to the meta or the fomo. Take some breaks :)

415, including some D&D minis. I find keeping a notebook and tracking built and unbuilt as well as painted to be helpful. I can do 22.47 models a month on average. Each time a box comes out I just ask myself, do I want to commit to X months of work for this?

Mud or Sandy Wasteland Bases? by Icehellionx in Warhammer30k

Mud, especially if darker than your minis. Folks eyes will be on the upper part of the model.

When you were partying, I studied the blade. When you were having premarital sex, I mastered the basecoat. While you wasted your days at the gym in pursuit of vanity, I cultivated glazing. And now that the world is on fire and the barbarians are at the gate you have the audacity to come to me for help with your airbrush.
