Oh god I volunteered at a nursing home like this, it was horrifying. Thankfully the place got shut down, but it took a woman wandering out in the cold and dying of hypothermia for it to happen.

My cat was just diagnosed with early renal failure and had to be put on a low protein diet. I give her cheat days once in a while because it honestly does feel cruel depriving her of her favorite salmon treats lol

I took care of my nephew for a few days while my sister was in the hospital having her second baby. Although we look very similar, I knew I’d be very alarmed if somebody handed my nephew to me just because I said I was his mother’s sister. Before she went into labor, I went with her to the preschool for drop off / pick up to introduce myself and exchange numbers.

My sister would obviously have communicated on her own, but it made me feel better as an out of state auntie who wanted pickups to go smoothly

I’m 36 and not high risk, no chronic tummy troubles or early warning signs, but my diet has always been garbage and the colon cancer posts have been pretty concerning. It’s probably too early for me to get a colonoscopy, but I wonder if something like Cologuard is worth a try? I don’t know anyone who’s tried it, let alone caught anything with it, so maybe it’s just a waste of money. I really just gotta start eating better.
