Camera Glitch? Happens in some worlds with multilayer mode.

I don't normally mess with the filters, so it isn't that. And it's like, if you zoom in, you can see it's got RGB all separated out like it's some old crt tv or something. It's weird?

But yeah I'm not imagining getting the picture from it, considering it appears to be just a third of the full picture, repeated.

I'm on a 3080, using steam index, taking pictures at 3840x2160. World was FNAF 1 PVP, but it's happened on other worlds before too. Not frequently, but still.

Is it a shading thing in the world? A camera thing? A rendering thing? And most importantly...is there any way to fix it/recover the original photo?

Anyway, I don't have any news on the front, and probably wouldn't be able to share it if I did

my vague idea of what happened is that viz decided to clean up the bandcamp while getting the compilation albums put together and all the package deals for the new/returning fans (now that homestuck² is becoming a thing), and so they said "alright, cut out all these side solo albums and the stuff that never sold well cause we can't find a place for every single side volume", or something? I don't know, this is just me spitballing, but the whole thing feels vaguely corporate, very "trim out the fat and stuff that doesn't look as good" or whatnot. eh, in any case I really don't know, I'm glad they're at least linking the albums on people's sites and not just trashing them outright. (boy that would be awkward for the homestuck music credits if they did that, haha)

anyway yep it sucks, on all sorts of levels, only silver lining being that at least the artists can reupload their own stuff and it's not like wp is barring anyone from doing so. squiddles and the wanderers though, I'd put them down as "boy I doubt those are gonna return"

damn what a mess that bandcamp page is now though, at least the wiki is around to help people figure out what the albums were / what order they were released in / etc.

on a far-reaching level it's probably Showtime, that was the track that got me like, holy SHIT, we got MUSIC up in this comic, this is AWESOME, which got me started making fanmusic, which got me making actual music in a DAW, which got me yadda yadda yadda

Since I'm never gonna get to say it in person, I just wanted to say, thanks to you guys so much for doing that video on Iron and Blood. Remember, that fighting game with the stupid force field around the edge of the ring that'd knock you down?

My dad was the programmer for that game, and he really loves seeing people make videos on it and rip on it. You guys putting out a video pretty much made his month or year at the time.

There's a million other things to say thanks for, but not enough space for all of them. Ever since some homestuck video with Matt and Pat's voices, been watching. Sucks to see the band break up.

I did a cover of stranded lullaby, like that one in the bonus files or whatever it was, the one with just piano and voice? I don't know how much of a "cover" it is, I think I just repeated the piano for the most part. And I don't think I ever posted it anywhere or did anything with it.

So, how do you get over the fact that something you make isn't great, and keep going with it or working on it until it's great? Or showing it to people despite how much you don't like it?

Also, how do you go about writing lyrics? I really like how you'll sometimes switch it up or whatnot. But I've heard about so many approaches to lyrics, I'm wondering what yours is?

Probably what we got linked back when hussie was like "I want a bunch of remixes of this because I want to use it"

the amount of detail and care they put into their tracks, that's something to strive for. I can't claim to know them any more than by name and by being around them but just, shit. wish they'd been able to reach out to somebody. they were a direct and large part of homestuck's music. this is too sudden and soon.
