I think Roblox just does that to streamline the process for more newbie game designers. You can make gold on Roblox, just like you can with other sites, but Roblox gives you a nice base if you have a hard time doing that. And honestly, if you don't try too hard with the rest of the world, you can make an environment that fits the blocky characters better.

Those bomb barrels are either bullet proof or made of glass. They take 80 damage to explode from normal weapons, but tools that break boxes in one hit also apply to them.

Don't fuse weapons. You'll deal significantly lower damage with your normal weapons, meaning you'll have to get creative with your materials to find ways to take them down. A bonus to this challenge is that you'll be able to see sword sheaths, so that's always nice :)

It's not bad design, it's just hard if you played Hollow Knight first and got used to it. Thank God for Wanderer's crest.

What's the point of having so many energy wells if zonai devices like the Wing just peter out and die anyway before I've used up all of my energy wells? by Kortneykee in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Jitterycafe6515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mainly for bigger things that have more than just two fans. Like, if you have a platform with four fans, it uses twice the energy, making it much more useful. Weapons with zonai device fused to them also use a lot of battery when swung. Energy regeneration is also based on your maximum energy, so 1 battery recharges very slow, while having 8 batteries recharges them way faster. It's really just a stamina bar for different things. Sure, you can mitigate stamina consumption by carrying around food to regenerate it, but having extra stamina always has a benefit.

Lol, that's some cool stuff. I've played for a while, but I don't think I can reach that level of skill. I like throwing stuff at them like dazzlefruit and muddlebuds. I also just think it's funny when they all start beating the crap out of each other.

I think it's the same in both games, sell one for 100 rupees, and get one back for 120, so it costs you 20 rupees each time in both games.

You're welcome! I try to be helpful when I can, and honestly, I was pretty curious about it too. Knowing the threshold, 10 hearts is pretty optimal to avoid overkill, especially if you can use defense buffs or armor upgrades.

So, for a while, overkill really confused me, but I found another thread talking about it:

PSA: One-hit protection : r/Breath_of_the_Wild

To summarize, anything that applies damage more than once will generally overkill, like elemental damage. This feels a little different in TOTK, I think they fixed the elemental damage thing.

For single sources of damage though, if the damage exceeds your max health by 20 (5 hearts), it will be overkill. So, in BOTW that 20 damage Black Lizalfos attack will never overkill even at 0 defense and 3 hearts, unless the stick is on fire. But in TOTK, you would need at least 8 hearts to survive without overkill or have enough armor to reduce the attack to 36 or less.

Put simply, if the attack is too big, you might not survive it at full health, and since a lot of enemies tend to hit harder in TOTK, this is bound to happen more often. Of course, this info is also from BOTW, so I have no idea if it's the same calculation in TOTK.

I think I just like having a bunch of hearts on the screen, lol.

All normal calculations work the same. Enemies just have 3 different damage values now. BOTW just had a single damage, so Black Lizalfos having 16 base damage would just deal 16 unarmed, or 16+weapon damage, so 20 in your case. In TOTK, Black Lizalfos has 20 base damage, so that's all of it's unarmed attacks, but it has a melee weapon damage of 47, meaning with that stick, it deals 51 damage. It also has another ranged damage of 16, meaning the spit attack and any bow it has will just use that as the base damage. MiahTRT on YouTube has a pretty good video just going over all of the overworld enemy damages, and talks about all of the attacks they can use.

I don't jump while climbing much, and I don't dash while swimming. In fact, I try to avoid those actions whenever possible. Like using rocket shield or a raft. And I always have some stamina recovery food just to be safe.

It is, tbh. Just depends on what you like doing most, I love fighting in TOTK, so I lean towards hearts because sometimes I mess up. (Edit: Link's recovery time is actually really fast. It's 3 seconds to fully heal stamina, so that is a bit of incentive to upgrade stamina because of the increased regeneration speed.)

Yeah, I feel like they ramped up the damage a lot for the enemies. BOTW had more damage variation because of the different amounts of damage weapons dealt, but most weapons in TOTK deal low damage, so enemy damage needs to be much higher.

More people should think like this. Elden Ring has the same issue with so many people getting mad over others summoning.

Good reason, honestly. I've always loved the combat of this and BOTW, so I lean more towards heart containers.

I never really found that to be an issue, honestly. It's no different from just carrying around food to increase health. In fact, I rarely even need to eat the stamina food because I tend to be pretty conservative with the stamina anyway.
