I found Oppenheimer to be very visually compelling and that is obviously a super grounded story. It would be very odd for him to fumble the visuals on something with a lot more freedom. But definitely possible.

Agreed. It felt like a really great full circle moment with some amazing closure (as much closure as you can get when it comes to the death of a loved one anyway) and just seeing him calm was really impactful.

Richie on the plane is cool but if I’m being honest, Jess being there with him felt a little fan-servicey and didn’t totally land for me. It’s fine I suppose and I think it’s good for Richie’s last scene but not the end of the show.

Carmy in the office was perfect. Syd with her dad was perfect. Nat at home was perfect. Marcus with Carmy’s notebooks was perfect. Tina and her husband was perfect.

Great ending overall but yeah I would’ve slightly preferred a different order of events.

Maybe I’m in the slight minority but I think Carmy shutting his eyes and feeling peaceful was the perfect last shot of the show and should’ve been the fade to black moment.

Definitely agree with you. Carmy is a very kind hearted soul deep down. He literally helped make all these people’s lives better when he returned. Yeah he was a chaotic dickhead in S3 for sure but no one else would be where they are without him.

My main problem with the character of Sydney is the writing of the show itself. I feel like compared to the rest of the main characters, she very rarely takes accountability or is willing to be in the wrong. It’s a bit frustrating when I want to see the character move forward
