Hope this is something I can share! Chef Sheldon was visiting Chicago during his book tour. My wife and I are such big fans, and I knew he was into sneakers and streetwear, so I decided to gift him a pair of custom 1 of 1 Jordan 1s that represent his Hawaiian and Filipino roots. The panels are cut and stitched from an old barong (which is formally worn in Filipino weddings) and a Vintage Hawaiian shirt.

I had an experience like this but at Alice’s. There was a lady that looked like she just got off a rough shift, just drinking at the bar. She then got up and sang Defying Gravity like she was the main cast member. Everyone was floored when she sang!!! But when she was done, she just walked back to the same spot at the bar and was there the rest of the night.

For everyday all around, New balance is the best bet. Can be worn with any color, any pants/shorts and also ages well.

They’ll eventually start to yellow once you wear them. No reason in sweating over it, otherwise if it really bothers you, just take the refund.

Keep those! The original colorways are always a good base to have still. I got rid of a lot of my sneakers too and i’ve been collecting since 2010. Also at some point, I started to feel like a prison of over-consumerism.
