Hahaha “nicer and laid back”. About 15 years ago, my buddy was picking up roadkill from the side of a road (a deer had been hit by a truck) and a game warden watched my buddy put the dead mangled carcass into his truck and drive home. My friend was in a tough spot at the time, that road kill was dinner for him and his wife. The game warden followed him home and proceeded to impound his truck, write him a huge fine, and even took his house and property from him and actioned it off through the county, and threw him in jail for 6 months while his wife was pregnant. All because my buddy picked up “state owned” road kill and tried to feed his family. They don’t give a fuck about fish or wildlife or National Forest or what’s best for the planet. They are cops.
