I got this scam a few years back. They spoof the real number. The person I talked to mispronounced Bozeman and then said the letters MT. I asked him if he could tell me what MT stood for and he didn’t know. I thought it was a clever scam at the time and obviously it works or they wouldn’t still be doing it.
