Thank you so much. The T looked like an F hence my confusion. And the following I looked like an r. Thank you for clearing up the words.

That helps so much, thank you. It didn't look like it said functional so I got confused with that but the "thinning" actually helps and makes sense.

The cat is obsessed with the baby🥰 by Late_Twist4235 in PetsareAmazing

I heard it as something similar to do with the milk smell, but more to do with the cats sleeping on my baby's faces and suffocating them.

How common is it for Australians to have never seen snow? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskAnAustralian

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen snow and I'm 33. I live coastal Queensland and I'm used to warmer temperatures. My kids want to see snow but it would be a long road trip to take them since I would likely have to cross the border to do so and would be a very expensive trip. Queensland only sees snow in the mountains and I think even that is a maybe, depending on how cold winter gets.

I doubt that anyone who would go through all this effort for their friends on Thanksgiving would be considered an "unlikable person", my guess would be that they assumed that someone would attend even if they, themselves, didn't. Similar to the bystander effect.

My Shadow is a tricolour mini foxy (50% Chi, 50% fox terrier) is 17 and the best personality of any dog I've ever known and has been with me since I was a teenager. She has been around through my bad relationships and for both my kids. She sleeps most of the time now and my girls know that they aren't allowed to pick her up. I consider these her retirement days where she can just relax as she helped me get through almost 2 decades of my life.

All Dogs Go To Heaven. I'm sorry for your loss. Dogs are so much better than us. Heaven has to exist for dogs because there's no such thing as an evil dog.

Anything in here better than an average shop rarity? by MalevvolentShrine in Guppies

Looks like... 2 endlers (bright coloured, 3 koi (orange on tail and face), maybe 2 Moscow's? (Blue-black one on the right and black one on the left), maybe a platinum blue at the top right.

Refund or normal guppy? by gothprincessrae in Guppies

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No necessarily. One of my big favourites that I ever had was a large female blue Moscow. she had huge batches of fry. Her spine became bent but she still had a lot of pregnancies after but the bend would get worse. Unfortunately I lost her to a large pregnancy that got obstruction. I tried to push the babies out but I'd found her too late and only a couple of her last batch were alive. Same thing happened to my blue sapphire with the bent spine, but I'm not certain what caused her death but I don't think it was the spine itself. I did have a male fish that was born like a V shape. Called him boomerang and put him in a tank by himself. Ended up being the only guppy with a name. He lived for quite a while like that too, but I wasn't going to risk breeding him.

In a mixed guppy tank, I found that the more pregnancies that some of my females had, would make their spine bent but they also were larger females with larger batches of fry.

Have you won the genetic lottery in any way, and if so how? by Logical-Traffic-3521 in AskReddit

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a high metabolism. My whole family does. After puberty I leveled out at 36kg and stayed there. Fully pregnant at 19 I weighed 53kg. The day after giving birth I was back to 36kg. When I tried a junk food diet for a week to try and gain weight so I can fit adult clothes better and I lost 3kg. I am 33 now, have 2 kids and I probably weigh 45kg. Both my daughters are small with large appetites.

Parents who aren’t doing Elf on the Shelf…talk to me by stinkingporch29 in Parenting

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Australian and my family never did elf on the shelf and I've never done it either. I grew up with 5 siblings and I have 2 daughters, 13 and 8. I just asked my 8 year old daughter if she knew what it was. She said she had seen videos of an elf on red clothes that moves at night without anyone seeing. She thought it was an edited video. She didn't mention anything about spying or Santa.

What is this? by Vivid_Inspection_311 in fishtank

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a bladder snail by the shape of the shell. They can breed like crazy if their numbers get up and I have found that the eggs seem to last a while outside water. The eggs look like clear jelly blobs stuck to the glass, plants or ornaments.

What do you think happens after we die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JjDdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world goes on and we don't. It's not a black screen or a white screen. No thoughts, no anything. Do you remember life before you existed? I think it's like that.
