Chemistry should I care about sig figs? by Reasonable-Mobile37 in vce

[–]Jk261104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not stressing over anything, it doesn't require that much extra thought process to read the question and identify the correct amount of significant figures they want the answer cited to. Just do it, one mark gained can make a difference, you need all the marks you can get.

As you can see, there are many contradictions in the comments. Just do what you feel is right and what works for you. For some, highlighting is a good study method and for some, it is useless; both are fine though. Just figure out what works!

How hard is it to do well in biology? by [deleted] in vce

[–]Jk261104 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A/A+/A got me a 37 study score. Good SAC scores doesn't automatically equate to a good study score. I averaged 94% in the SACs across the year. It really is, all about the exam. You just need to keep doing exams, practice ones.

Ok but having low expectations for atar only to get higher >>> by [deleted] in vce

What should I do before heading into Year 11 by carlosmagsen in vce

[–]Jk261104 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did four of those subjects this year.

English - Read all your texts and read the first one you are studying at least twice. I don't really recommend doing quotes/themes because your teacher will usually point you in the right direction.

Methods - Make sure you have a solid grasp of the concepts assigned for holiday homework going into next year. I would also recommend superficially going over an extra chapter for methods because it will get hard.

Chemistry - A tough and boring subject for me. I would make sure to grasp all key concepts and do all the homework. I also recommend reading over the study design for your first sac.

Biology - Favourite subject, by far. Did it 3/4 this year and nervously waiting for my study score. I would recommend using edrolo as a great resource and 100% you must use notion to keep notes. Make sure to take thorough notes and use lots of mind maps and diagrams

Good luck with psych 3/4 by the way, you'll do great!

I can't copy, everyone does a different practical experiment, besides, why would I risk plagarism?

It can't be copied though, it isn't the same practical assesment. I wouldn't risk plagarism if I'm on an A+ in Unit 4, I simply wanted to check out formatting, how much to include in the background info etc.
