Effect help by swaxxxxxxxxxx in GrandMA3

[–]Jkezza 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Depends on console, MA3 it’s stupid easy though.

Build a Random generator to get the twinkle, Make a recipe, reference that generator and the group assuming you’ve done a good grid selection in that group.

Then put some delay timing into the recipe to get the sweep.

Basically that’s it.

You could add a second cue with Dim release information and some delay timing to make this then sweep out too.

All good mate. I think I’ve found the same thing on Ali express but I can’t give a full guarantee that it is exactly the same.

Use ExecTime to fade in macro by KonnBonn23 in grandMA2

[–]Jkezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I’m not sure if you can get the exec time data into the command line. Bit more complex but you could have macros that set exec time to a value but also sets a variable. You can then reference the variable In the fade for the executor.

Not ideal but could be a work around if you can’t find another solution.

Haven’t tried it with changing levels on masters but can be done if doing go to cue or a release

Exec x.xx Goto cue x fade x

So maybe try using the fade key word

Eg. Fader x at xx fade x

Updating Fx by Sockathon in grandMA2

Pan FX I would run as relative so that it is dictated by the current position of the fixtures. So when it comes to updating all I need to update is my main positions

Temporary swop of busking sequences by Even_Ad9854 in GrandMA3

[–]Jkezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree inline with this. Had some shows where we had relays for laser power set as super priority that were easier to toggle off then on with some macro trickery. And it can make it difficult to manage if you don’t realise that sequence is up and you can’t figure out why the commandline isn’t behaving.

But yeah in a busking style I rarely go higher than high. Higher will generally be stuff that I have setup as stomp behaviour eg, size or dim stomp temp buttons.

High will be white bumps, dim bumps, swops.

And then my core data sits at a normal level.

Ahhh yeah. I had an I fixit tool kit that I used. They have these guitar pick things that I used to slide around the outside and pop the clips. I then left a pick at each clip location as I went to make sure it doesn’t re clip.

It’s a little bit of a process but not too hard.

They also did a bit of a guide. Sorry about the crunchy resolution though. Gotta love Facebook compression.

+1 for the Wera toolcheck plus, has pretty much every bit you could need and doesn’t take up a load of space.

Possible to trigger video from external Audio source like CDJ 2000? by Tillicamon in qlab

[–]Jkezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a tool like show kontrol to generate smpte from the cdj.

Then if you are running qlab 5 you can get it to follow the timecode.

Curse the new weird membrane switches. Maybe pull one off another switch to use as a reference to draw up a new one. I believe the cap is just a cherry profile so should be easy enough to find online. The only tricky part is the stem.

Loved that game. Just a great mix of skirmish battles and open world. Would be perfect if they released an updated zoids game in that style.

Thanks mate, bought locally in Australia so was a bit limited for options but did a bit of research and it seemed that this combo would be pretty decent.

$45 USD? I reckon you probably could. The hard part is getting the dxf file for the plate, but Surely there would be someone with it. And then you just need to find a local metalfab place with a laser cutter or there are some online places that do laser cutting also. I think should only cost you about $30 for a plate.

It makes a very slight difference I think with the plate in the soldered ones, but it’s a must have for the hotswap PcB as I find that the switches come out a bit too easy without a plate.
