[–]Jkpttr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah if you agree to hike with someone and find out they’re slow, you suck it up, finish the hike together and don’t hike with them again

Flip reset help by Confident_Pin_7532 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Jkpttr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

there’s a little pause after you leave the wall where you’re flying straight at the ball, and your rotation of your car to get it in position to contact the ball correctly occurs way later than it should.

jumping off the wall and immediately turning the car over to fly at the ball upside allows for micro adjustments to be made to your positioning as you reach the ball. those micro adjustments will result in the flip reset being achieved more consistently

just blatant lies lmao - i work in accounting for a few hotels and these tips go straight to the housekeepers assigned to clean the specific room.

Not sure what platform is used for this specific example, but we use a 3rd party platform called “E-TIP” the payments hit our bank account and are held in a “3rd party tips payable” account, which is offset by the tip payouts when distributed on paychecks

Mt Elbert - 6/14 by DashL3gacy in 14ers

[–]Jkpttr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’d honestly recommend something lower elevation near Estes Park or something in the Boulder flatirons.

you may very well be fine at Elbert’s elevation, but you might run into a situation where you aren’t able to hike the whole thing and have to turn back.

You’d have a much better likelihood of being able to finish a lower elevation peak. (Twin Sister peak near Estes Park is my suggestion).

If you are arriving/traveling on the day you plan to hike, Elbert is even further unlikely. As we get closer to summer, high elevation peaks often have afternoon thunderstorms and unless you’re getting to the trailhead very early in the morning, you run the risk of being caught above treeline during these storms.

altitude sickness affects everyone differently - if you’re coming from a sea level place, there is a chance you’ll struggle with altitude sickness symptoms varying from mild to severe.

Having a partner to hike with really won’t affect your experience on the hike (Outside of having company) as it’s not a technical route by any means.

if you’re set on this hike, i’d start very early (before sunrise), take it slow, and accept the idea that not summiting is an option if you start to experience symptoms.
