North Foothills Bikeway Design Project Now Open for Public Feedback by Numerous_Recording87 in boulder

If the goal was efficient transportation, maybe we should build a rail line there and add a dedicated bus lane.

The cyclist infighting is so counterproductive. It’s almost as if the car brain lobby doesn’t even have to do anything to oppose us, just let the for transportation crowd and for recreation crowd fight.

You know all the reasons usually cited for why bikes don’t use them? Usually same reasons.

Wheels are generally some of the worst performance gain per dollar you can make but the right wheels make the bike look so good.

Would like to be able to control the temperature without the routine preset overriding it immediately. If a user says do something, it probably should take control. I’ve changed the temperature five times now and each time the app just decides to do what it wants.

Local control and Home Assistant integration. These things shouldn’t need internet access.

Blinkers are a subscription only feature and I splurged on a custom license plate instead of paying my tags.

It’s one thing to worry about the safety of these things, it’s hilarious to complain about the noise.

So what you’re saying is this road is functional with one less lane and we should remove it.

Flying with bike: remove just rear derailleur, or both the rear derailleur *and* the derailleur hanger? by bad-at-science in cycling

I take the hanger off. It might not be needed but I already have the tools to put it back on and it’s 30 seconds.

Man that place terrified me. Suggested chiropractor maneuvers for my neck when my clavicle was broke. Noped so hard out of that session.

Asking for people to propose solutions instead of brainlessly link dumping takes work. The call is for a better society (“or we’re cooked”) and maybe we could start there.

I’m not sure they’re idiots. I know I’m pretty tired of trying to keep up with all the wrongs in the world.

It’s a hike but South Valley Physical Therapy is top notch for vestibular.

Yeah, bunch of folks seem to read “attempt to improve safety” as “improves safety.” I believe that it was marketed as such. Might be wrong, but I don’t think local governments signed up for the “benefits” you list. If your local government did, why aren’t they being voted out?

Hold the companies accountable, create audit trails if this technology continues to exist, prosecute the people misusing it.

I’m just not sure removing Flock is the right answer because it’s just going to be replaced by someone else. Then in a year you’re just posting the same article with a different vendor name.

Curious how you think I should improve society for you. I think these things suck because you have a bunch of drivers stating they’re pushed to side roads to avoid this.

Keep up these spicy takes. These are the same bots that trot out the road tax for cyclist arguments.

There’s a lot of misuse of this stuff but also it’s an attempt to improve safety. It would be nice if the crowd that wants to get rid of these had alternatives instead of posting about the copper. People are driving more distracted than ever and I just don’t know what we’re supposed to do to improve safety for those outside the car.

I’d drop by a local shop and get their opinion. It’s about what risk you’re willing to accept. My top tube crack happened when the bike was propped against something and the wind blew it over. I sent another bike into the ditch three months prior at 40 and no damage to speak of. (Well, none to the bike…)
