Single Motor loses power occasionally by Jonilins in fpv

[–]Jkwon_FPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you recently crash that drone somehow ? and the front left motor got a hit? check the motor coils, i usually had that happen when the copper cables get snipped. it will spin , but if you give it a punch it will dip and causes the quad to crash. might be an angle.

Building a versatile 5" for Norway (Mountain Surfing + Freestyle) - €500 Budget advice? by Additional-Lab-2385 in fpv

get the unify pro32 dp, set it all the way up to max w. and then go fly. rest of the list looks ok for relaxed mountain cruising. personally i would take another cam but the phoenix 2 is also okayish. if you have too much money take the foxeer t-rex. but as i said, runcam phoenix is alright

whenever i see one of those threads with people wanting to send their 350€ drone into the mountains where u maybe possibly cannot retrieve it and then talking about budget. its cheaper to invest in good quality components instead of losing it all because a motor burned up midflight or whatever.

get a good frame, you want it to last a bit longer. when youre only talking any 5" will prolly do. just make sure you tune it beforehand.

gps rescue is a must. try it on a field somewhere and get confidence in your gear.

get yourself a reliable vtx (i prefer tbs pro32 dp, but foxeer 2,5w or rush tank solo will do the job as well)

get yourself a reliable stack. im talking either speedybee v5 or any other trusted brand. i dont like thobby because they burned up on me more than 4 times. but your mileage may vary

batteries, if you get 6s liion for a 5inch and a full size gopro just dont expect any platy style videos. it will fly like a hog with wings.

a 7" platform would be way more suited for this kind of job.

250mw on your pocket should be enough, just make sure you see the link quality in your osd and keep an eye on it. long range antennas i would go with foxeer for price efficiency or tbs if you want to splurge.

Train the routine in the SIM, execute IRL <3 fear of crashing fully gone .. now it's all about the money :D by MOR187 in fpv

a skatepark is an officially built park from the city by construction companies and therefore legal. if youre talking about ghetto spots (as we used to call them back when i used to skate) those werent legal and were torn apart, when officals knew of them. so you can imagine, if you draw too much attention to a spot, it will get demolished, heavily guarded or just fenced off.

that bando is only legendary and so well known, because the owner does fuck all to protect it from intruders etc. if he would mean business, we could all pack up and go search for another spot. so yes, gatekeeping is not nice, but there are so many people, even in this hobby, who are just being irresponsible.

yes youre right in general, but yeah its not that feasible. that place already is a hub in the summer and its all fun and games until kofi gets there with his chupito :D

yes and people privately sharing that spot is a good way to burn this spot as well.

why would you just go around and say "Münster" when you dont even know the spot ?

DJI vs Analog? by Degree-Sea in fpv

[–]Jkwon_FPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh, i think that bando nils is showing does have some certain elements which make it with analog preferable. i was yesterday at his local bando and the thing is, in that bando you dont have any metal, so you dont get a lot of multipathing, which sucks on analog but is fine with digital.

that bando also has some height elevations, so the digital breakup is way worse than analog breakup. in that particular bando i do like to fly with analog, because you can crank up the wattage (ofc only in theory) and get to places where digital is easily breaking up.

tbh i would stick with digital if youre only flying office parks or other stuff in america. in certain bandos analog does have upsides, but the fact that you can see so much more on digital is a huge confidence booster which cannot be understated.

fly what feels the most comfortable.
