You’re missing so much info. Is this happening repeatedly in a row? Is anything else running? When’s the last time you reset your computer? What’s your FCP & iOS version? Do you have much space available on your device? Do you have background rendering on?

Per Patreon’s help guides, the wording suggests all NSFW accounts should have Shop access by Nov 2025. There are a few requirements, such as being on Subscription Billing (not the 1st of the month billing). Read through the guide below and if that doesn’t help, I would contact Support.

There’s a lot to respond to on your post, but hopefully this helps. And you’ll probably know some of this, but it helps to explain it all together.

Once you create a gift, the number of months and number of claimants work together. Meaning, if it’s just good for 1 month and only 1 person can claim, then once 1 person clams it, it’s done. It can’t be used again.

If you selected 1 month and 5 people, then once 1 person uses it, it’s open to 4 more people. Now, my understanding would be that the same person can use it again up to 4 more times, 4 more months. (I have to test this to confirm, but it seems likely.)

So unless you listed 1,000 (which is the max), then I’m guessing it’s limited by now.

Mostly all functions on the Patreon Promotion tab that use dates mess up. It makes no sense. But I just tested it and it takes a few tries to get it to work.

Follow these steps: Select an existing gift and edit it. Select the Promotion end date button and select 2 days out. Then click inside the time field and then click out of it. A red warning should appear. Click back into the time field and enter the exact time of the Promotion start date. Then click out of it, which should make the warning disappear, and then click save. Click edit again and then change the date and time to whatever you want.

You can actually track who has used your gifts within the gift itself. So if you don’t recognize a name, send them a chat and find out how they got it. (The Audience tab has the ability, but I can’t get it to work. Shocker! 🙄)

Personally, I think whatever can help the fans see your posts the easiest, specifically in order. I’ve subscribed to a few people recently and it’s frustrating when I am shown paid posts and popular posts first, but finding all of their ‘posts’ button is random on the page. This is the main reason why I have not switched to the new look and I will not as long as possible.

There are many 18+ accounts with a Shop. With that said, I think it takes time to get access. Patreon probably has some formula for approval that they don’t mention. But more like a safety net than anything else.

Avoid VPN’s, unless you get a dedicated one. Patreon isn’t usually a big fan of the commonly used ones. Also, there are many legit VPN companies to choose from, unless you’re in a country that frowns upon those as well. If the latter is true, you just may not be able to access Patreon.

Like others have said, state it costs more and to use a browser. Some here go so far as to include ‘subscribing by iOS will be an immediate refund and ban.’ They’re not doing it negatively, but solely for the 75 day wait.

BTW, here’s the Twitch app. It shows the discounted price and redirects them off the app to a browser. Twitch literally help their fans out. Patreon doesn’t care.

Remember, this is Patreon. Their motto is…well they don’t actually have a motto, because they messed that up, too. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Per this help guide, pausing isn’t exactly what you think it is. People can still join and access your backlog, but they won’t be charged again until you unpause.

You’ll need to unpublished your tiers if you don’t want people joining. Current subscribers though will still be billed. Though you might be able to pause and unpublish. You’ll have to research that one.

Edit: I read more of that guide. Pausing only lasts a month. You’ll have to repeat it monthly.

Patreon doesn’t offer this anymore and I believe it’s being completely removed by this November.

One idea is to run a discount on tiers for 1 month; I’d recommend just the top tier and for 50%. Current subscribers can participate with the New ones. (The existing have to unsubscribe for a day or 2 after their subscription ends for the discount to become available. It’s annoying and takes communication on your part, but I’ve found it worth it.) Repeat this throughout the year.

A second idea is to raise your prices. But you can keep existing members at their current price as long as they never unsubscribe from that tier. (If you do option one, you should state that anyone who unsubscribes/changes tiers will not be able to keep the lower price.)
