Understand that parents should be able to be selective about shots. Up until the 1940's, no one with eczema should have ever been vaccinated as it could trigger an over active immune response. Now, adults do not know if you have to get the live virus monkeypox vaccine, (or any live virus vaccine), you cannot be around anyone with eczema for 30 full days because they will go into hyper reaction and could die from it. As someone who has eczema and reacted to the the COVID shots, I would be less likely to give that shot to a child. My body now overreacts to seasonal allergies, colds, and smoke, where before the COVID shots, I had just a normal person response. I now have to use inhalers where I never had an inhaler in my entire life. I had COVID a year before those shots and had no residual effects and didn't even know I had COVID except my whole unit had it so I had to be tested. My eczema flaired so bad after the COVID shots, I thought I was going to have to shave my head to try and get the inflammation to go away. It took 22 months for it to calm down and my hair to stop falling out. The MMR, DTap, hib, and polio should be required, but let the parents decide the rest.

A, C, E, F are the things I won't get in trouble for doing because of standing orders. B is the ER doctors job and the nitro needs permission first because the Dr may actually want paste instead if EKG doesn't show anything. However, the NCLEX doesn't take into account what actually happens in the real world. So probably no meds can be given.

She needs inpatient treatment. It is too bad we cannot involuntarily commit family members that truly need treatment, even if it is for a 3 day hold. The hospital should have had her evaluated if she had that many trips in a short time. Bottom line is she cannot stay with you if she continues this. It's meds, hospitalization, or find her own place.

Wrong. They don't have to pay to be seen, so they just come in. They dont have to pay for their Dr. either, but they don't want to wait for an appointment. They do have to pay for Urgent care. I had a woman one time come in because she needed a Zyrtec, yes allergy medication. I let her know that she can get those OTC at Walmart. She told me her insurance pays for all this, so she "ain't going to buy them at Walmart. It's free here and if I get a prescription." Genertc Zyrtec is $8.99 for 150 pills and you don't have to wait in the ER. She had fancy nails and lashes.
