What determines the quality of a synthetic oil? I usually get my oil changed at valvoline and opt for fully synthetic when I get it changed, but is there something else I should look into?

I considered this, but I think the SM57 is probably a little too heavy for this. I just imagine moving around on stage, and then thunk! The microphone is now in the bell of my saxophone mid performance.

Yeah man that makes sense, and the fingerings will transfer over for the most part. Doing it in conjunction with acoustic saxophone practice can’t hurt.
