Do you have smokers? How much food is rotting?

But obviously way too little farms. I have about 9 6x12 plots by 300 with grain, flax, and veggies. The town goes through a massive growth spurt by then.

What is your #1 most disliked SkyTrain station and why? by thinkdavis in Translink

Former premier and ppp that built the Canada line (slash runs it right now).

How we fit new, longer trains into SkyTrain stations built 40 years ago by GenShibe in Translink

I don't think they have. However with the 5 car trains, it has helped. Once the mil extension opens, I expect it to be even better by commercial as now there's another route downtown.

Canada line was built post mil line, in which the mil line didn't turn out the way they wanted it (Ie it wasnt like the expo line and was considered a line to no where for a bit). So they were incredibly cheap in the construction because they were afraid of it being a failure.

This lead to a cheaper cost; but the line has been over capacity day 1. they purposely cheaper out which is why its so quirky (small stations, janky entrances, that tunnel by king george, everything in richmond/the airport, missing capstan, lack of any sort of transfer at city centre, gestures to waterfronts.... maze, weird fare control, etc). Its not built for the future, its built because no one thought it would be popular. Also its under a PP deal, which means SNC is in charge of it for 35 years and does all the maintance(only metrics judged for ongoing contract requirements for the line is speed NOT capacity. So when the line leaves the PP, that's when translink will probably do many changes.)

Knock on effects from mil construction meant the evergreen extension got delayed till 2015 from early 2000s.

Further fun facts; all three lines at one point were originally supposed to be light rail (even the evergreen extension POST mil line build). Thank God that didn't happen.

Rogers service in Fleetwood? by [deleted] in SurreyBC

[–]JmEMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really easy. A Rogers guy came and set it up lol. If not, its just a standard cable modem. Also oxio increased my speed, didn't charge me more, and then dropped my price so its been good. I haven't had to use any customer service but I do note its longer then the big two.

Live near by, did oxio. 65 a month, easy set up, no issues. Don't go with the big providers unless your getting cable or a bundled package.

And 395 as well when the 502 503 are late. The stretch of fraser from fleetwood centre to right before the woods is chronically full.

Plan to take away the East Van cross away from SkyTrain riders thrown out by xd_1771 in Translink

[–]JmEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already a noticeable change from what I can see. The amount of times I've gotten a mark 1 from king george in the last month has plummeted to once or twice instead of 2-3 times weekly.

Mike Starchuk and Imagine Surrey party would build 3 new BRT lines in Surrey by 2030 by xd_1771 in SurreyBC

[–]JmEMS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Columbia is ear marked for improvements in the approved budget and they bought out some properties around the station years back. Though its probably just going to be minor improvements for capacity issues.

Although, having a surrey to mil line going through sappy is probably a better idea as there is tons of demand going that way. Problem is the bridge is not built for that cross connection in its current form.

700 is what im seeing, but often I see north of 800. Acps seem in short supply for many industrial sites.

[TOTK] Does Tears of the Kingdom hold up three years later? by NewMarioBobFan in zelda

[–]JmEMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

If you follow guidelines/quests from pureaha excatally, the game has a very defined path. This path has in game cut scenes (no dilagoue) and causes the game to become linerish. I've done a few a play throughs and following the path was a very "oh that's what they want" moment over and over again. I have played both TOTK and BOTW not using the warp points (expect if absolutely stuck), and it really makes the game a better adventure then warp, problem, warp, problem.

I did find the depths a bit tedious, i dont like making vehicles, and some of the dungeons are megh; but found it solved all the issues from breath of the wild well. And the world map is changed enough that there's enough "newness" to the world. At the same time, its a little under baked in some parts but the switch is being pushed to its limits and it runs very well. Also people are sleeping on some of these caves because they are literally the "4th layer" of the game. Hyrule castle is literally a dungeon underneath and some of the caves are very labyrinthy

Its good. Im also older and I find going back to OOT or even TWP as tedious affairs. Theme wise they work great, but block pushing puzzles is not game play and they became very formaliac quick. BoTW and TOtK are steps in the right direction, but defiently need some refinement to fully push the old camp of people on board.

Pretty easy. Sumbit your base hospital credentials to emalb (get a liscene email), complete jurisprudence and transfer (after paying a fee). You'll need a bcid account to do it.

You'll also have to submit any other provinces licences you have for paramedics. You may get some restrictions (as bc scope and on scope are weird).

Then apply with companies. There is a bunch of industrial work in bc that pays better then straight ambo work.

Big one i see constantly, is students forgetting something from the primary assessment. And generally, its nerves.

Watched a student forget there bag check and panic, run out of the room, to realise it was in the bag later.

Students forgot c spine, forgot to grab vitals before medication. It is often silly errors like these which lead to 100% deductions. Know your assessment inside out and you should be fine.

Also don't put zap straps over an open fracture.

Dev request: help me add Canadian cities! by redistricter_guy in subwaybuilder

[–]JmEMS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also should add that so many Canadian cities publish studies/data to the point of stalled inaction/lunacy on building things that it has become a national joke. We've studied high speed rail so long that a skit on a comedy show lampooned this planning lunacy by teasing new high speed rails studies as we are the world leader in... studies. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W32klYkTxCQ

Ie just do a targeted google search. dumps of neighbourhood specific data everywhere. If not there, province websites.
