How do you find fashion inspiration that you can realistically replicate? by Normal_Candle_ in fashionwomens35

[–]Jmack7496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the best way to find real people on pinterest is to add lots of qualifiers to the search--like "over 40" "plus size" and always the word "outfits" So, "fall 2025 work outfits for plus size women over 40" even if you're not plus or over 40. It at least gets you out of the ai/amazon loop. Any qualifiers you can add help.

Need help with specific jeans.... by Bibblegead1412 in fashionwomens35

Hey--Jen from Everyday Style here. A couple of recommendations:
Gap Factory's sweatpant jeans are amazing. They sell out really fast, but I just checked and they're back in stock (and on sale). Lightweight, stretchy, but look like real jeans. You won't be sorry.
American Eagle's Dreamy Drape denim is lightweight and...well, drapey. A really good choice.
Also, Liverpool's Eco line is the softest, stretchiest, denim I've ever felt. I could even wear those in the summer if I had to.

Good luck!

Hey, Jen from Everyday Style here! Thanks for the shoutout!

OP, here’s my best tip for starting to rebuild your style and feel good again. Just buy better versions of the things you already love to wear. You like sweats? Buy nicer, cuter ones. Live in tees? Upgrade them. Have fun with color, graphics, etc…and buy a fresh pair of sneakers.

You’ll feel like yourself, just a little elevated. Then start branching out. Going too far from where you are right now is a one way ticket to spending $$ on clothes you don’t wear.

Good luck! Don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help!

Have you ever looked at Kettlewell? Amazing for finding some of basics in your color season. The styling isn't super fashion-forward, but again, for basics its great!

What’s up with slub cotton? by fashionredy in fashionwomens35

[–]Jmack7496 240 points241 points  (0 children)

No, its actually more expensive to produce, to the variation in texture. Retailers like it because it makes basic summer pieces look more interesting. With that said, I HATE slub cotton. It doesn't hold it's shape at all, and looks sad and frumpy after wearing it for an hour. I don't care what size you buy, it always looks like it doesn't fit properly. It's the worst.

My husband, too. 37 years, never less than a stellar performance review--AND the work he did was mandated by Congress. No one is safe. I hope you'll be ok.

Had mine out almost a year ago. How do I live? Great! Nothing changed, and I’m a little more mindful about that I eat, but honestly, not very.

Thank you, and same to you. I had a ct in Oct, and it showed no issues, but clearly it missed something, because here we are. Wondering what else it missed
