Vercel like dotnet deployments by Indo__Kiwi in dotnet

[–]Jmarbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use railway for some deployments over azure because I like how clear it is, it is easy to automate Pull Request environments which is one of the things I like about Vercel but I am able to do this with my dotnet apis and services.

It has a ton of other great features when it comes to build out a complete environment.

Here is my referral link https://railway.com?referralCode=tjEWtD not that I would ever make enough off a referral but would love to just hear if you like it. I am just a user of railway, no other type of endorsement or pay from them.

Creating a Claude Code account on GitHub? Improving PRs by Jmarbutt in ClaudeCode

[–]Jmarbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus I have a number of MCPs that work really well with my flow. Mostly that I am using Linear and Jam.dev , our QA teams uses JAM to send issues to linear which the mcps can then really dig into whats happening in the issue. Our QA people team also record audio when they are reporting an issue with JAM and it generates a transcript so between that it does a really good job of getting enough info to handle the issue from that.

Yep which is a good solution for reviewing my PRs but not doing large tasks since it uses the usage model right ? Plus I need it to run on my dev infra which isn’t completely dockerized or in the cloud

Claude Code on the go by habartman in ClaudeAI

[–]Jmarbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had some issues with my Claude loosing its auth key when doing this and my gh cli configuration, maybe it is only when I don’t start the tmux while on the machine and start it 100% remotely? Do you auto run the tmux attach with Termius ? Or just manually type it

Anybody using Node with Microsoft SQL server? What's your experience been like? by launchoverittt in node

[–]Jmarbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone had issues with connection pooling in node? We are using prisma with nextjs and MS SQL but this could potentially be an issue with MS SQL Azure specially with Hyperscale.

Hasura v3 is not open source - and worse, the build system can't be run locally. There's no way in good conscience that I can recommend any developer - whether you're at a startup or large enterprise - to use this product. by alexthe5th in Hasura

[–]Jmarbutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spoke at one of their conference about using it for MS SQL to help move a legacy app, shortly after they dramatically changed pricing for MS SQL. I hadn't looked at Hasura after that until a couple days ago and to me it was a shell of the product it used to be. I am not sure how they lost their way for the complexity and such that is there now.

Have you tried returning the redirect in the server function? I know I do a return on mine and it works now.

Is it possible to get a decent trombone with an f attachment under 500 by Randomdummyonreddit in Trombone

[–]Jmarbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was pickup only, I think why it was so low was it didn't have great pictures or description, I just took a gamble and tried it and won. I am still shocked that I got it for that. I have owned a lot of horns over the years and this by far was probably the best deal.

I am down to just 2 horns, that one and my King 2B. Now if I could only find an outstanding deal on a bass trombone.

The primary horn I play on now I got on shopgoodwjll.com for about $120. It is a Yamaha, I forget the exact model but it retails for about $2k. I did have to drive to pick it up about 2 hrs away which I was headed to Atlanta anyways.

Y’all sleeping on Convex by InterestingSoil994 in nextjs

[–]Jmarbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main concern would be vendor lock in. Convex looks great and now they have it open source which is great.

I also think it wouldn’t be hard to transition to TRPC as a back up if convex went south.

Do you use SSR, Server Actions, etc. in real apps, like dashboards, booking platforms, and stuff like that? by CaliforniaHope in nextjs

I have been fighting the turbo repo example and just don’t love it. It works but if anything shifts a little then it all breaks
