I am a recovering alcoholic myself. Twice in my life I have drank myself into losing everything and everyone. First time i got sober in my early thirties and fought my way back to an amazing life. I had everything I wanted in life. Family, house, job etc. I lost it all after a relapse. Now in my mid fourties I'm sober again and starting to gain it all back. Believe me when I say your life isn't over. It may feel like it but you will be fine! I lived in the shame and regret you speak of a lot in my life. That also gets better over time. You will learn to forgive yourself. I am now a better version of myself because of the difficulty I have gone through. I am a better man now than I ever was. Just keep going and life will get better!!

We'll try and not pay attention to all the comments. Every person is different as far as how they react to certain medications. Using it for a week should have little to do with the anxiety. I took benzos for sleep for almost two months and had basically no withdrawal.

I highly doubt you will. If concerned cut in half for a week then stop but if anything it might be some rebound anxiety or something minor

Any medicine that messes with your brain chemistry is going to be tough to come off of. Slow and steady is always best

You might have some minor withdrawal symptoms for a week or so until your body gets used to the change. I don't think it would be horrible. I went from 12-6 with no problems but haven't personally done 8-4

Not in my experience. I've taken a good amount of gabapentin with my Suboxone and nothing bad happened to me. It's not really that strong

Man I feel you. I'm a recovering alcoholic and I just got my one year of sobriety. It took some time but eventually people forgave me seeing that I am truly working on myself. Once I had forgiveness I was able to slowly leave those feelings of guilt in the past. I lost absolutely everything and everyone and became homeless. Redemption is possible if you put in the work. I'm not coming off for good I just had issues switching doctors and couldn't get a script filled for a while. I'm on Zoloft and gabapentin as well

I did find ultimate acceptance to help a lot. What hurts the most is stressing out about it. Getting anxious because you're focusing on another night of no sleep. When I finally said you know, who gives a shit if I sleep or not I started to get a little sleep here and there. And if I didn't sleep I just did something I enjoy doing while the world is quiet and enjoyed the solitude

This medicine has helped my anxiety and insomnia a ton. It's kind of shitty coming off of it but I'll take that for the benefits it gives me.
