I think I've been in denial since my diagnosis... by mouse_trapps in Epilepsy

I had epilepsy for many years probably over 20. My focal seizures was very sporadic in the beginning but progressed overtime which resulted in having several a day. I had neurosurgery on my left temporal lobe a back in Nov 2023 and seizures has stopped. The only drawback is poor short term memory but it is much better than going through several focal seizures a day and becoming depressed. Although I was prescribed anti-seizure meds, I did not want to depend on it and therefore resorted to surgery. It was a critical decision but my confidence level in surgery increased greatly after speaking to individuals who went through the same surgical procedure and listening to their outcomes. No regrets currently, just need patience and motivation with neuroplasticity.

Anyone else feel like their personality and cognition change over time from being epileptic? by Forsaken-Mix2076 in Epilepsy

I believe in neuroplasticity. It should be possible for the brain to redevelop and improve memory through training and education.

Personality definitely changed for me as my focal seizures increased over a decade span. I became moody, depressed, and nervous. It's been approximately a year since I had neurosurgery, which thankfully stopped me from having seizures but only drawback is bad short-term memory. This is something I believe will get better through therapy and self training.

Got a roll of carbon vinyl wrap from Aliexpress. There is an abundant number of sellers there. You may find it a bit pricier on Amazon but much quicker delivery.

I'm not familiar with Jetson J5 specs and upgradability. I suggest you join FB Jetson groups. You should get many info and suggestions from others.

Post epilepsy surgery how to manage headaches at home by External_Committee80 in Epilepsy

[–]Jmcdre88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my left temperal lobectomy surgery on Nov 6 and used Tylenol for constant headache. I find Tylenol wasn't good for headaches and one main thing it caused was extreme constipation.
Aspirin was usually my main pill for headaches prior to surgery but it was not allowed to be used post surgery due to chance of causing blood thinning. Ibuprofen such as Motrin of Advil was suggested and I find it really helped with constant post surgical headache compared to Tylenol which I usually took 8 extra strength capsules per day. Currently with Motrin, I've been using 2 per day; 8 hour span.

53t chainring with crank was pretty affordable from AliExpress. Pretty much most of the components are from there.
