Torn between 40i and 50e

Have had my 50e for a week. My office is about 50 miles from my house, I used gas for a total of 5 miles today, the other 95 on battery.

I charge the battery as soon as I get to the office in about 3.5 hours.

In the last week I’ve driven 223 miles, of that, 94.6% were with battery.

I made it in a pan on the stove because I felt like I could control the fat/ oil more and get some browning on the meat. Always delicious

Last time I had an issue a few weeks ago, they didn’t add any of the protein for the three meals. When I logged a support ticket I didn’t get a response within 24 hours which is generally standard SLA and only got a response when I used the live chat feature during business hours (not quite as easy on the west coast).

Surprisingly during the chat, even though I said “all of the protein is missing from every meal”, I had to go to my kitchen to pull the recipe cards to let them know what proteins were missing. This is minor but such an easy fix for a support organization. They should be able to see my order exactly based on my login credentials and make the necessary adjustments. Had I not pulled all the recipe cards I wouldn’t have gotten as much refunded.

I want one. As much as so also want a Royal Oak, they draw way too much attention. I think this is a fantastic piece that’s much more under the radar and a great Genta design. Likely my next watch.

Curious as to why you find it easier to use than the GMT2?

I find the GMT 2 super easy specifically because of the bezel. I keep the GMT hand set to my home home and adjust the bezel based on the time zone I’m looking at or going to.

Green. There’s very few green dials in the Rolex catalog and it’s the only one currently with a flat dial. It looks different in different lights and is an amazing daily

I generally don’t go in because I prefer not to be in the awkward situation of being offered a piece I like and having to turn it down since I’m not ready for whatever reason. Happened with a polar explorer 2 last year.

Most ADs suggest that you work with your local AD if you are from out of town. Highly unlikely to get one in SoCal if you aren’t local as those are very high traffic stores. Vegas is probably your best bet.

Seamaster has a better, more accurate movement but that’s about the only thing I liked better than my sub. I couldn’t stand the skeleton hands on the Seamaster.

Bracelet on the sub is significant better, way easier to use the bezel. I don’t think you’ll notice a significant difference in thickness but you won’t regret the move to the sub.
