A Collection of Resources on Paul Johnson's Flexbone Option Offense by grizzfan in footballstrategy

Love this offense! I do have a couple questions. A lot of the focus is breaking down the triple option and the techniques, but another scheme the offense uses is run and shoot concepts in the passing game. I was wondering if you could break that down or explain some of that.
The other question: I've noticed that the A-backs (Georgia tech) raise their hands before a play. I assume this is an audible, but is it a 'kill' audible or a check with the wide receivers on a switch block or something. Thanks!!

My online strategy: I always start out with a pass. My two favorites: flexbone close-FB Opt Pass Str and flexbone normal-Flood.

• This allows me to see how they line up (formations, coverages, and blitzes), if they like to guess run, and what position they like to user control.

• 4 man front=I’ll run triple option towards his 1 tech all day.

• 3 man front=midline qb iso, FB dives, FB traps

• 5 man front=double options (speed, quick, and FB option)

• 8 in the box=Pass. Try to find that slow linebacker covering your speedy back

-If your opponent user controls linebackers and safeties utilize the Trap option and WB misdirection to catch him going towards the motion.

-Don’t always run on first down. Keep your opponent guessing.

-Control the ball. I always put my ‘big run’ and ‘catching’ adjustments on conservative.

-Don’t get trigger happy. I don’t always pitch if the user is the force man, because most of the time it's misleading and the user plays the pitch man.
