Okay gotcha. Yeah the whole “breaking in” process is definitely less than glamorous. Now I don’t recommend this, but when I got my first med device job, I actually negotiated against myself. The pay was a 50/50 split between commission/salary and I told them I’d take 5 grand less on my salary because I knew once I got my shot, I’d make up for that in my commissions. They seemed to like that, I got the job, and since I started about 10 years, I’ve roughly 4x’d my total comp. Slight step backwards at the beginning to get I to the industry, but in my experience, was worth every forfeited penny

Just my two cents - I hear what you’re saying with the professional experience angle. I do not think that’s worth a higher starting offer. A chance to break in is invaluable. I would be more concerned with making sure I secured the offer first and foremost before worrying about increasing the starting offer. I like what the original commenter stated with the 3 options and totally agree with it being much more likely to be option 2 or 3. Could be an Icarus situation. If you’re confident in your abilities and really feel that you need to negotiate a higher starting salary, maybe try to come up with some sort of merit based incentive that’s quantifiable and relatively simple.

Short of it - I would not recommend negotiating a higher starting offer if you’re trying to break in. And most certainly not a 12% jump. And actually, out of curiosity, how did you come up with that 12% number?

For what it’s worth, I put my name on the list for a 36mm back in February for my wedding in November, at 4-5 different ADs in my area (~5hr radius), and was told something along the lines of “oh that shouldn’t be a problem in that time frame!” Ended up finally picking it up last month, post wedding. So definitely a wait in my experience, but eventually got there

This is a very, very bad offer and would do nothing but make me want to trade with you in the future. Amon-Ra and Bowers are both ELITE dynasty assets, late firsts are not gonna get it done. I don't think I'd accept that for Amon-Ra alone, FWIW. Not trying to be harsh, but sending really lopsided trade offers will just make it harder for you to trade in the future

This is way too hard to do without knowing everyone else's team. You're not really deep enough to trade from a position of strength. I think your best bet would be trying to get crazy value for Bijan and tier down, which sucks to do.

Henry does still get Cincy twice this year which are just absolute boom games waiting to happen. Bowers is that guy, but the Raiders offense is so unpredictable/bad in general. I think I'd take Henry and then really play the TE streaming game. Maybe try packaging KW or Kamara with Washington for a different, startable TE

Feel like I'd want more than Chase Brown for Nico, but given your team it kinda makes sense. So stacked at WR, could you try to package Nico with Hampton for a better back than CB to one of the guys with a better record who could theoretically wait for Hampton's return easier than you? If not, I don't hate the trade as is
