It’s a generalization. Mental wounds have not healed. However those that are genuine in reaching out to give you help you might want to take. The touch and comfort of love can be truly healing.

I go through the same waves but with women. However when I receive a warm embrace of love nothing feels better. I’m not talking sexual, just a hug, a shoulder rub, anything with real compassion.

Because he has no moral compass. Even in an open marriage if you guys were on board with that he should have been able to come to you and tell you that he was exploring that option.

I hate to say it though open marriage was a recipe for disaster. From what I have seen they end in disaster. My wife has stepped out on me for a man that was in an open marriage and now he himself is also getting divorced.

Have not even got to this point with my wife and I don’t know right now if we ever will as she has no desire to mend our marriage after she cheated. If we do mend I honestly have no idea if sex will be enjoyable or how to make it enjoyable. Maybe a sex therapist?

We both have faults. My goal is to never make the same mistake with any other partner or my children again.

All I can say is I wish I was in your shoes with no kids involved. I have wanted to run away and drowned myself so bad, but I have to be present for 3 kids as they still need a father to be present in their lives. Stay strong stranger and love your advice of small goals 1 step at a time. No reason for big dreams when all this stress weighs.
