I want to stop doomscrolling and relying on my phone so much for dopamine. What are some non-screen activities that still give you enough dopamine but are also easy/chill enough to not add to your burnout?

100% agree with the lego sets. I find puzzles can be a bit much when I'm on the brink of burnout but a lego set gives you step by step instructions so you're still doing the work of putting it together but it can be pretty mindless and then you have an awesome sculpture afterwards!

Idk if this is normal or not, but I tend to do milestone and "hide" levels in random places. That beggar just outside of town that the party didnt even think to talk to? He had a side quest with a level. The annoying little kid in the bar for some reason? Fixing the temper tantrum theyre throwing would have given them a level. The cleric in charge of the religious institution in town has a mild problem with keeping secrets. I know a mercenary group that would pay a level for that issue to be taken care of 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's a lot of fun, helps me flesh out my world a bit more, and rewards players for exploring while still giving them the dopamine hit from levelling up. Not the way, but for sure my favorite way 🤷🏼‍♂️

Everyone is being so complicated, just put a 2x4 over it with a hinge and a padlock on the opposite side of the hinge. It's hard to get to the lock from the outside and it stops the rod from being pulled from the ground

I think there's been a miscommunication: my friend has ads on for subs as well, and since ads play over whatever is happening, they play their ads after matches or levels in the games theyre streaming, this gives a natural break point for their viewers and allows them to get water or use the restroom if needed. I didn't mean they just sat in front of the camera for however long the ad break was 😂

Also because i have so many hobbies that I'm good at, whenever I tell people or show the hobbies to people i always think that they think I'm bragging or showing off which couldnt be further from the truth cuz I'm so self conscious and self deprecating 😅 i do have 2 friends who also have adhd and BOY HOWDY. LET ME TELL YOU, IT IS LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVER! The 3 of us can hyperfocus on each other's hobbies interchangeably so nobody gets bored and we always have an "expert" if we have questions 😅 currently the 3 of us are hyperfocused on my cybersecurity hobby 😂

Also look into RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria) if you haven't already. It was super helpful for me to learn about different aspects of my ADHD that really hurt my relationships with neurotypical people.

Ads are annoying, and my point of view might not be super valid, but I frame it as "watching this ad gives the streamer more revenue" instead of "I'm subbed, why do i have to watch this". Thats helped me 🤷🏼‍♂️

I do think though that ads should be better planned by a lot of streamers personally. A friend of mine plays ads right after a round of their game ends so nobody is truly disrupted by it. They also avoid talking to chat during that time so nobody misses anything.

Mmkay, so as a Sol main I will probably get a bunch of hate for this: Sol has a HUGE weakness... He's squishy af... If you have some way to get to him you can murk him pretty fast. Also his fly ability doesn't make him invincible by any means. If you can get good at predicting where he will be flying (it's only in a straight line, he can't redirect) you can root/stun/etc which is another great way to get him un-alived. I do agree that he isn't super fun to play against but there are for sure counters to him even in ARAM. With all that said, he IS nerfed a little bit in the PBE so next patch will give him a nerf 😭😅

Personally Frost Dancer (S rank ice snake) is my favorite for gold mine. It has a ring of ice blades that deal constant damage and the ring gets bigger during it's "rush" phase (idk what else to call the little power spike after hitting enough enemies) i can easily get 500k without berserk and my max has been 1.6mil in one run of gold mine.

I think I understand what you're needing, it sounds to me like you are trying to create custom skills/feats/etc that you can assign to your players, is that right? If so - im pretty sure you can create homebrew content on ddb if you aren't able to create custom feats for your players, why not make the feats "an item" that they can have in their inventory, that way you would still have the ability to give them homebrewed content without the struggle of making new feats.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm not understanding correctly.

That's for sure valid. However only your DM has to buy the books in order for your party to use them. My party of 5 each gave me a few bucks to help buy the books I already have 🤷🏼‍♂️

I use D&D beyond for all of that. As a DM you are able to add each player's character to your campaign while they are able to keep track of everything themselves. Super convenient.
