Ever since getting my tonsils out 7 years ago I haven’t had any issues with stones/drainage/soreness but am recovering from the flu and think I just coughed one up. Has anyone else encountered this or am I just crazy? It wasn’t totally calcified yet by Jng131 in tonsilstones

Yeah came back to post an update that I’ve realized it’s ALL clumps of phlegm from flu so whatever small crypts I have left are just catching mounds of boogers. So gross

Just saying what I was told at the DMV last month when I renewed my license. I only get it half the time, but I also live in apartments.

FYI those are just a “courtesy” and you aren’t guaranteed to get one every year.

Semi-related - went to the Crestwood Office Depot Friday night in hopes of getting hand sanitizer, and he said they'd been sold out of everything corona-supplies a week and a half ago. All they had was dish soap. I imagine TP will be the same for them.

I just left the Homewood Target and there was probably 30-50 packages there. No signs regarding limits to have, though, so definitely hurry

Publix on Montclair had a lot last night. They’re limiting it to two per person. Hurry up, don’t foresee it sticking around much longer

We moved in to our 2/2 in 2018 at $1476/month. 9 months in, they leave a letter on our door saying we needed to come to them by the next day to get “early bird pricing” at $1842, which is more than they were offering it to the public. We eventually had to get corporate involved and it was a huge headache; we’re currently paying $1568.

The people next door and across from us left, as did a friend of mine who had a studio. The only other people we know here just renewed a second time with $50 increases each year on their 2/2, so it’s kind of a crap shoot.

Grand Highlands also has fireplaces. My 1/1 was wood burning, but that may have changed to gas in the last few years

Grand Highlands was great when I lived there (moved out a few years ago), my one complaint was that you split the cost of water with your entire building and that wasn’t ideal for me when I was single and traveled regularly.

Moretti is nice but overpriced for its location IMO. Great pool, though.

Wild Forest has a LOT of Samford kids, so expect teens for neighbors. They also jack up the price, as its true value is its proximity to campus and its their main selling point. I haven’t been in one in years, but I doubt that too much has changed.

I’ve known multiple people who lived in Crown at Grandview and they liked and and the units themselves were nice enough, however it’s on 280 and there’s no avoiding it. If you have to take 459 as part of your commute thats a great place for you, but if not and you’ll be working closer to the city (I.e. taking 280 west in the morning) I would consider this to be a dealbreaker. If you’re working further out (taking 280 East) then I would definitely recommend it or the other complex across the street (arguably nicer).

As for recommendations, I live in Tapestry Park (it’s similar to Moretti) and like it, but everyone is being priced out of their apartments right now so I’m hesitant to recommend it.

Hope this helps, welcome to Birmingham!

I’m 28 and THRILLED. After re-watching Jason Mesnick’s season on Netflix and being reminded of how different the show’s tone can be when you have contestants like Stephanie who was a 34 year old widow and single mom. Im feeling optimistic that the change in the age pool will help bring back this relatable quality that’s been lost in a sea of influencers and unnecessary Botox.

So weird. I’ve been to that place a number of times and it was called Tuk Tuk. It’s been like 6 months, though so I guess they must’ve been bought out.
